DISCOVERY CHANNEL UNCOVERS THE LIVES OF THE WORLD'S MOST ELUSIVE PREDATORS IN "MAN, CHEETAH, WILD"
-Two-hour Special Airs October 3rd at 9pm ET/PT -
(LOS ANGELES, CA) Deep in the African bush, Kim Wolhuter is about to be tested like
never before. A one-time game ranger with experience in the military,
Kim is a maverick
filmmaker with an extraordinary ability to befriend the animals of his native Zimbabwe. He
connects with wild predators and dangerous animals in an extraordinary way: drinking where
they do, finding food on the move, and running alongside them. Kim's unbelievable relationship
with Africa's wild animals allows him unparalleled access into the elusive and secretive world of
cheetahs, and these ruthless hunters accept him as part of their family. In MAN, CHEETAH,
WILD, airing October 3rd at 9pm ET/PT, we follow the true story of one extraordinary cheetah
family, and the remarkable man who walked among them for a year and a half. The
breathtaking footage will bring viewers closer into the covert world of the cheetah than anyone
thought possible.
Living in the heart of Southern Africa, Kim comes from a family that has lived and
tangled with ruthless predators for nearly a hundred years. In the Malilangwe Game Reserve in
Southern Zimbabwe, Kim relocates a female cheetah that he had previously worked with. When
he is able to locate her, he is surprised to find that she is mothering five new cubs. Mother
cheetahs are notoriously protective of their young, but amazingly, she senses no threat from
Kim and thus gives him the unparalleled opportunity to document the upbringing of one of the
rarest wild cats on the planet.
On October 3rd at 9pm ET/PT, Discovery Channel joins Kim Wolhuter to investigate the
dangerous and fascinating world of the elusive cheetah.
