CHUCK HUGHES POUNDS THE PAVEMENT IN SEARCH OF THE MOST UNIQUE FOOD DESTINATIONS IN NEW SEASON OF "CHUCK'S EAT THE STREET"

Season Two Premieres Thursday, August 1st at 10:00pm ET/7:00pm PT on Cooking Channel

NEW YORK, NY - July 2, 2013 - Chuck Hughes returns to Cooking Channel for the second season of Chuck's Eat the Street, premiering Thursday, August 1st at 10:00pm ET/7:00pm PT. Throughout the season viewers join Chuck on his travels in search of some of the most intriguing and off the radar streets, while tasting savory dishes and listening to the histories behind them.

In the season premiere Chuck visits Aspen, known for being a swanky winter hangout; but the local ranchers and miners who helped build the city are still here and they eat on Hopkins Avenue. A snowball's throw from the slopes, rodeo rider turned chef Kathleen Crook serves Chuck a massive 30-ounce steak with a big rib-bone handle called the Tomahawk. At Ute City, named for the original Ute Indians of the region, Chuck meets Chef Rob McClanahan, as he gets a lesson on how to grill Duck a la Plancha. And after stopping in at Sarah Helsley's Cheese Shop, Chuck indulges in fondue, the ultimate post-ski meal, and finds dessert at Creperie du Village, a cozy eatery where Chef Jason DeBacker makes a sweet crepe with a jaw-breaking German name: The Schokoladepalatschinke.

Over the course of the season Chuck also visits the little neighborhood of Bishop Arts, which is the center of the best food scene in Dallas; there Chuck learns how to use a hand-cranked machine to churn out bigoli pasta that accompanies duck ragout. In San Antonio, Chuck takes a walk down a quirky street called St. Mary's, as he witnesses a high-end take on a Texas football favorite, Frito pie, by smothering a po'boy with smoked pork chili, jalapeño mayo, cheddar, and corn chips. And in Santa Fe, New Mexico, one of America's oldest cities is waiting for Chuck to try every bite he can taste, as he learns about its history and native culture. Other cities include Washington, D.C.; Charleston, S.C.; The Bronx, N.Y.; and Detroit, Mich. This season also takes Chuck on a journey to explore some of the best streets beyond the country, as he visits St. John's, Newfoundlandand San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Chuck Hughes is the owner and chef of Montreal hot-spot Garde Manger and Le Bremner. His unbridled passion for entertaining translates into both unforgettable food and captivating television. Chuck loves food. So much that his favorites are tattooed on his arms: bacon, lemon meringue pie, lobster and arugula just to name a few. After going to culinary school and working in some of the hottest restaurants in town, he partnered with his two best friends and opened Garde Manger to rave reviews and packed seating. Chuck is the multi-talented star of Cooking Channel's Chuck's Day Off, and has also appeared on Chuck's Week Off: Mexico, The Next Iron Chef: Super Chefs and Chopped All-Stars.

Chuck's Eat the Street is produced by AMS Pictures.
