TAXI-22 (CBS, New!) - James Gandolfini's long-in-the-works import of the French Canadian comedy has found a home at CBS and producer CBS Television Studios. The single-camera project, about "a NYC cab driver who is politically incorrect in the vein of Archie Bunker," was previously in the works at HBO. Nancy Sanders, Mark Armstrong, Dennis Erdman, Clark Peterson, Patrick Huard and Francois Flamand are executive producing alongside Gandolfini - who is no longer attached to star - via his Attaboy Productions banner. (Deadline.com)

WHITEY (History; W: TBA; D: TBA) - Paige Davis and Greg Tuculescu have both been cast in the comedy pilot, about Guy "Whitey" White (David Koechner), "a bright, conservative and frustrated guy in his 40s who is struggling to understand the changing values of a country in a world that has forever gone with the wind." She'll play his wife with Tuculescu as his friend, "a paranoid war vet who maintains all sorts of wild political conspiracy theories." No writing or directing auspices were given. (Deadline.com)

Television-based production company as EVP overseeing development (Deadline.com);
