BIGFOOT (FX, New!) - Graham Roumieu's faux Bigfoot autobiography graphic novels "In Me Own Words," "Me Write Book" and "I Not Dead" are being developed as an animated series at the cable channel. Matt McKenna ("American Dad") is penning the adaptation which envisions the legendary creature as "a bipolar hopeless romantic that lacks the ability to properly express himself, living in both the human and animal world of Pine Falls but not quite fitting in to either one." Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg of Point Grey Pictures, Jimmy Miller and Sam Hansen of Mosaic Media Group and Roumieu himself are executive producing alongside McKenna for Floyd County Productions. (Deadline.com)

KATIE & BECCA GROW UP (ABC Family, New!) - Leila Cohan-Miccio ("Next Caller") has booked a potential comedy at the cable channel about "two best girlfriends who are forced on a journey to find adulthood that's led by their former loser friend who now has it all together." No other details were given about the multi-camera project. (THR.com)

MONEY PUMP (CBS, New!) - ITV Studios America has snagged a pilot order for a potential game show described as "a high-pressure game in which contestants compete against an enormous money pump for a million dollars." Andrew Golder is executive producing. (Deadline.com)

MYSTERY GIRLS (ABC Family, New!) - Tori Spelling ("The Mistle-Tones") is back in business with the network, landing a single-camera comedy about "two actresses who previously starred on a popular detective series who now use their acting experience in order to solve crimes." Spelling and Maggie Malina then will executive produce the half-hour, which may switch to multi-camera. A search has begun for a writer. (THR.com)

NORMAL HEART, THE (HBO; W: Larry Kramer; D: Ryan Murphy) - Jonathan Groff and Joe Mantello have both landed roles on the original movie, which tells the story of the onset of the HIV-AIDS crisis in New York City in the early 1980s. The former will play Craig, the first lover of Bruce Niles (Taylor Kitsch), an early victim of HIV-AIDS; while Mantello is set as Mickey Marcus, an instrumental member of the Gay Men's Health Crisis. Jim Parsons, Julia Roberts, Mark Ruffalo and Matt Bomer also star. (Deadline.com)

SMOTHER (USA, New!) - Jeremy Miller and Dan Cohn ("That Was Then") have booked a new comedy at the cable channel about a 30-year-old man whose three moms - thanks to his mother and father both marrying other women - take control of his financial, professional and personal life after he has to go back to living at home. Universal Television is behind the single-camera project, with Peter Traugott and Rachel Kaplan of TBD Productions, Brad Epstein of Panther Films and Margaret Riley of Brillstein Entertainment Partners also serving as executive producers. (Deadline.com)

STRAIN, THE (FX/FX Productions; W: Chuck Hogan & Guillermo del Toro; D: Guillermo del Toro) - Kevin Durand ("Lost") is the latest addition to the drama pilot, based on the best-selling vampire novel trilogy. He'll play Vasily Fet, "a second-generation Ukrainian-American and rat exterminator by trade, enthusiastically joins the war against the vampires who have invaded New York." Corey Stoll also stars as Dr. Ephraim Goodweather, the head of the Center for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City. (Deadline.com)
