Hallmark Channel announces Teryl Rothery ("Stargate SG-1," "Kyle XY," "Dragon Ball") has been cast opposite Andie MacDowell and Dylan Neal, as a series regular, in Hallmark Channel's first-ever series, "Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove." The primetime drama is set to have its two-hour premiere Saturday, July 20 (8 p.m. ET/PT, 7C), with Ms. Rothery joining the cast regularly beginning in episode two. The series is based on the bestselling book series Cedar Cove by #1 New York Times bestselling author, Debbie Macomber.
In "Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove," MacDowell plays Judge Olivia Lockhart whose Cedar Cove Municipal Court is the professional milieu and social microcosm of issues the judge will face in her own day-to-day life with family and best friend Grace (Rothery). Neal plays Jack Griffith, the new editor of the Cedar Cove Chronicle and budding love interest for Judge Lockhart.
"Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove" is a 16 Lighthouse Road Productions Ltd. production. Executive Producers are Dan Wigutow, Caroline Moore, Ron French, Debbie Macomber and Harvey Kahn. The series is produced by Connie Dolphin with Steve Harmaty as Co-Executive Producer. The pilot was directed by Michael M. Scott, written by Bruce Graham ("Debbie Macomber's Trading Christmas") and was adapted from material from Debbie Macomber's series of books, Cedar Cove. Carl Binder is the show runner for the series.
