LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- AMC will return to Ringgold, Georgia when season two of "Small Town Security" rolls out on Thursday, May 9 at 10:00/9:00c.
The series - which explores the inner workings of JJK Security, a small, family-run security and private investigation company - will continue the network's reality push on Thursday nights.
Previous efforts "Comic Book Men" (417,000 viewers on average), "Freakshow" (515,000) and "Immortalized "(274,000) wrapped their primetime runs earlier this month to very modest results.
Said numbers were well short of the 894,000 viewer average from theatricals on the night earlier this year (January 3-February 7), which included such titles as "Demolition Man," "The Transporter," "There's Something About Mary," "The Wedding Planner," "Signs" and "The Karate Kid."
"Small Town Security" will presumably be joined by fellow unscripted originals "Showville" and "Owner's Manual" as well as season two of "The Pitch" later this summer.
