DISCOVERY IS LAUNCHING TLC
A NEW ENTERTAINMENT CHANNEL IN THE UK

Discovery Networks is launching TLC, a new entertainment channel in the UK and Ireland on Tuesday April 30th 2013. It will have a prominent position on Sky's entertainment EPG at channel number 125, channel number 167 on Virgin Media's platform, channel number 875 on BT Vision and available from YouView on the TalkTalk Player. TLC will also be available in HD to Sky and Virgin subscribers and key programming will be offered on demand via Sky, Virgin Media and BT Vision.
TLC is an entertainment channel where the 'relatable meets the remarkable. ' The tone of the channel is playful, humorous and passionate. TLC, already the world's biggest female entertainment channel is exclusively premiering hit shows from the US alongside a number of original UK series. The channel will show different perspectives on fashion, family life, little known communities, alternative lives and amazing people and cultures. Millions have been invested in the UK launch of the channel.
The channel will feature UK and global stars including Holly Valance in Ultimate Shopper; Dawn O'Porter in Undercover Mums, Lisa Snowdon in Your Style In His Hands and Oprah Winfrey in Oprah's Next Chapter. The channel will also launch Here comes Honey Boo Boo, a US show that has generated worldwide comment and debate.
