ANATOMY OF VIOLENCE, THE (CBS/20th; W: Alex Gansa, Alexander Cary & Howard Gordon; D: Lesli Linka Glatter) - Skeet Ulrich ("Law & Order: LA") has been tapped for the male lead on the drama pilot, about Adrian Raines, a criminal psychologist with an expertise in sociopaths who partners with Abby Ravner (yet to be cast), a young Philadelphia detective with whom he shares a conflicted past. He'll play the former role ("unshaven and disheveled") in the project, which also stars David Harewood. (Deadline.com)
BAD MANAGEMENT (ABC/ABC Studios; W: Holly Walsh & Sharon Horgan; D: Ben Taylor) - E.J. Bonilla ("Revenge") has snagged a role on the comedy pilot, about Eve (Sharon Horgan), a slightly self-centered boss at a high-end luxury goods department store who finds her ways challenged when the boss' son (David Spade) comes to town and makes youth and sex the new company focus. He'll play Ramon ("gay, vain, Puerto Rican, butt-cheek implanted"), one of the employees who hates Eve. Also starring are Greta Lee and Rachael Harris. (Deadline.com)
BLACKLIST, THE (NBC/Sony; W: Jon Bokenkamp; D: Joe Carnahan) - Ryan Eggold ("90210") has been cast while Joe Carnahan ("The Grey") will direct the drama pilot, about Raymond "Red" Reddington (yet to be cast), the world's most wanted criminal, who turns himself into the FBI and offers to give up everyone he has ever worked with in exchange for working with Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone), a newly minted agent whom he seemingly has no connection. He'll play her husband Tom ("easy going; the emotional glue"), with whom she's trying to adopt a child. (Deadline.com)
BONNIE & CLYDE (Lifetime/Sony; W: Joe Batteer & John Rice; D: Bruce Beresford) - Lane Garrison and Austin Hebert have both scored roles on the four-hour mini-series, based on the true story of bank robbing couple Bonnie Parker (Holliday Grainger) and Clyde Barrow (Emile Hirsch). Garrison will play Buck Barrow, Clyde's older, more impulsive brother and partner in crime; while Hebert is on board as tough-minded Ted Hinton, the youngest member of Frank Hamer's (William Hurt) posse that tracks down Bonnie and Clyde. Holly Hunter also stars as Emma Parker, Bonnie's mother. (THR.com)
BRENDA FOREVER (NBC/Sony; W: Andrew Leeds & David Lampson; D: David Wain) - Stephnie Weir ("MADtv") is the latest addition to the comedy pilot, about one woman's (Ellie Kemper) journey from slightly chubby and awkward 13-year-old girl to slightly more attractive and stylish 31-year-old but little in her personality has changed. She'll play her mom, Shelley Miller ("jovial, easy-going"), in the single-camera project, which also stars Da'vine Joy Randolph. (Deadline.com)
COMPANY TOWN (The CW/CTS; W: Sera Gamble; D: Taylor Hackford) - Stella Maeve ("Golden Boy") is the latest addition to the drama pilot, about the aftermath of a sexual assault scandal at a Naval base in Norfolk, Virginia. She'll play Page Mateo ("tough and deadpan"), a townie whose latest conquest, Lieutenant Jordan Strong (yet to be cast) is among the accused. Said role is in second position to the CBS drama. Gage Golightly plays her estranged best friend Krista Wilmont, whose fiance Paul White is likewise charged. Arjun Gupta, Dondre Whitfield, Graham Hamilton, Maya Kazan and Merle Dandridge also star. CROSSBONES (NBC/Universal; W: Neil Cross; D: TBA) - Oscar-nominee John Malkovich (In the Line of Fire) has signed on for the title role on the upcoming drama, about the diabolical pirate Edward Teach, a.k.a. Blackbeard, who reigns over a rogue nation of thieves, outlaws and miscreant sailors in 1715. He'll take over for Hugh Laurie, who was offered said role but ultimately passed. The other principal role is Tom Lowe, a highly skilled undercover assassin who is sent to the pirates' haven to take down the brilliant and charismatic Blackbeard. Production on the 10-episode series presumably will begin later this year. (Deadline.com)
DADS (FOX/20th; W: Alec Sulkin & Wellesley Wild; D: Mark Cendrowski) - Martin Mull ("Two and a Half Men") has snagged a role on the comedy pilot, about Eli (yet to be cast) and Warner (Tommy Dewey), two successful video game developers who have their lives turned upside down when their nightmare dads unexpectedly move in with them. He'll play Warner's dad Crawford ("W.A.S.P.Y") while the previously cast Peter Riegert is on board as Eli's father David. The multi-camera project also stars Brenda Song. (Deadline.com)
DIVORCE: A LOVE STORY (ABC/Sony; W: Daniel Lappin & Mike Sikowitz; D: Pamela Fryman) - Jason Jones ("The Daily Show with Jon Stewart") is set to star opposite Andrea Anders in the multi-camera comedy pilot, about a recently divorced couple who were bad at marriage and prove to be even worse at divorce. He'll play Kenny ("a schlubbiness makes him approachable, an easy charm makes you like him once you've approached") alongside Anders's Robin ("adorable, she's what guys of a different era would have called a 'real firecracker'"). GANG RELATED (FOX/20th; W: Chris Morgan; D: Allen Hughes) - Shantel VanSanten ("One Tree Hill") has booked a role on the drama pilot, about Ryan Lopez (Ramon Rodriguez), a gang member sent in to infiltrate the San Francisco Police Department only to be caught between his crime family ties and an increasing sense of loyalty to his new brothers in blue. She'll play Jessica Shaw, an I.A. Investigator who's sleeping with Ryan, not to mention the daughter of his Captain. Cliff Curtis, Inbar Lavi, Jay Hernandez, RZA and Sung Kang also star. HOLDING PATTERNS (NBC/Universal; W: Justin Spitzer; D: TBA) - Robert Buckley ("666 Park Avenue") has been cast in the comedy pilot, about a group of friends whose lives completely change after they survive a plane crash on the way to a destination wedding. He's on board as the groom's (Humphrey Ker) friend Chad Kirk ("good-looking, a little slick"), a romance novelist. Chyler Leigh also stars. (Deadline.com)
HUNDRED, THE (The CW/Warner Bros.; W: Jason Rothenberg; D: Bharat Nalluri) - Thomas McDonell ("Suburgatory") will round out the cast of the pilot, a post-apocalyptic drama about 100 juvenile delinquents that are sent from the remnants of the multi-ringed space stations that are all that left of humanity to the surface of a wildly changed Earth as a test for recolonization. He'll play Finn Hawthorne, a ruggedly handsome member of said group alongside the previously cast Bob Morley, Eli Goree, Eliza Taylor and Marie Avgeropoulos. Henry Ian Cusick, Isaiah Washington and Paige Turco also star. (Deadline.com)
I AM VICTOR (NBC/Universal; W: Mark Goffman; D: TBA) - Chilean actress Lorenza Izzo and McKaley Miller ("Hart of Dixie") have both landed roles on the drama pilot, about Victor Port (John Stamos), a high powered divorce attorney with a unique view of relationships, including that marriage is just a contract. The latter will play his 14-year-old daughter Dana ("awkwardly cute") while Izzo is on board as Lena Engles ("natural, intelligent eyes"), Victor's latest one-night-stand who turns out to be a new hire at his firm. Also starring are Matthew Lillard, Megan Dodds and Terry Kinney. (Deadline.com)
INFLUENCE (ABC/20th; W: Kyle Killen; D: TBA) - Christian Slater ("Breaking In") is set to star opposite Steve Zahn in the drama pilot, about two brothers - Clark (Zahn), a bipolar genius in human psychology and Ross (Slater), a slick ex-con - who head a unique agency designed to solve their clients' problems using the real science of human motivation and manipulation. He'll play the aforementioned Ross in the project, who just finished a two year stint in a minimum security prison for fraud. Cedric Sanders, Gregory Marcel and Megalyn Echikunwoke also star. INTELLIGENCE (CBS/ABC Studios/CTS; W: Michael Seitzman; D: David Semel) - Meghan Ory ("Once Upon a Time") and P.J. Byrne ("The Game") have both been cast in the drama pilot, about the U.S. Cyber Command and its key agent, Gabriel Black (Josh Holloway), who has a microchip implanted in his brain that allows him to access the entire electromagnetic spectrum. She'll play Riley O'Neil, a new addition to the Cyber Defense Operations Center; while he's set as Nelson Crispin, the son of said microchip's creator. Ory's involvement is in first position to her duties on the ABC drama. James Martinez, Marg Helgenberger and Michael Rady also star. (Deadline.com)
KEEP CALM AND KAREY ON (ABC/20th; W: Andrea Abbate; D: Gail Mancuso) - Steve Talley has joined while Majandra Delfino has departed the comedy pilot, about Karey (Kelly Preston), the clean-nosed black sheep in a family of petty thieves, drug addicts and narcissists who decides to raise her prison-bound brother's kids along with her adopted black son and give them the normal lives they deserve. He'll play Karey's leech/con-man brother Jeff, who sleeps on her couch. Delfino then had been attached as Karey's sister Penny and presumably had to bow out due to the resulting 20 year age difference of their characters after Preston's casting. Jane Seymour also stars. MIXOLOGY (ABC/ABC Studios; W: Jon Lucas & Scott Moore; D: Larry Charles) - Mercedes Masöhn has bowed out of the comedy pilot, about five guys and five girls trying to find love at Mix, a trendy Manhattan bar, over the course of one night. She had been set to play Maya, a gorgeous ballbuster, formerly a jock and currently a sports attorney. Said role has since been reconceived by the producers, with both parties agreeing to part ways. Adam Campbell, Alexis Carra, Andrew Santino, Blake Lee, Craig Frank, Kate Simses, Sarah Bolger and Vanessa Lengies also star. (Deadline.com)
OCCULT (A&E/ABC Studios; W: James Wong; D: TBA) - Josh Lucas and Lynn Collins have booked the lead roles on the drama pilot, about a newly formed occult crimes task force at the FBI. He'll play Dolan, an agent who returns from administrative leave after going off the deep end while investigating his wife's disappearance; while she's set as Blair, an agent with her own complicated backstory who specializes in the occult. Their castings lift said contingency off its production, while ABC Studios has been tapped to produce alongside Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes banner. (Deadline.com)
PULLING (ABC/ABC Studios; W: Gene Stupnitsky & Lee Eisenberg; D: Jason Moore) - Jenny Slate ("Saturday Night Live") has booked a lead role on the comedy pilot, based on the U.K. series of the same name about Donna (June Diane Raphael), who decides to move in with her best friends Louise and Karen after breaking off her engagement the day before her wedding. She'll play the aforementioned Karen, "who may be a prim and proper professional during working hours, but once she's off the clock, look out." Matt Oberg also stars. (Deadline.com)
RECKLESS (CBS/CTS; W: Dana Stevens; D: Catherine Hardwicke) - Anna Wood ("Deception") has snagged the female lead in the drama pilot, about Jamie Horn, a Yankee defense attorney, and Roy Rayder (Cam Gigandet), a Southern prosecutor who struggle to hide their attraction while clashing over a police sex scandal that threatens to implode Charleston, South Carolina. She'll play said attorney ("old-school beauty and new-school street smarts") in the project, which also stars Georgina Haig, Kim Wayans, Michael Gladis and Shawn Hatosy. (Deadline.com)
REIGN (The CW/CTS; W: Laurie McCarthy & Stephanie Sengupta; D: Brad Silberling) - Torrance Coombs ("The Tudors") is the latest to board the pilot, a period drama about the teenage years of Mary, Queen of Scots (Adelaide Kane) in 1557 France. He'll play Sebastian ("gorgeous with an edgy charm born of being a King's bastard"), the half brother of Mary's betrothed Francis II (Toby Regbo). Anna Popplewell, Caitlin Stasey, Celina Sinden, Jenessa Grant and Megan Follows also star. (Deadline.com)
SURGEON GENERAL, THE (CBS/CTS; W: Samuel Baum; D: Rod Lurie) - Kathryn Morris ("Cold Case") has scored a role on the drama pilot, about John Sherman (Jason Isaacs), a fictional Surgeon General of the United States and the Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. She'll play Lydia Ferrari ("tough, savvy, sexy, fiercely loyal"), his Chief of Staff. Said hour also stars Beth Riesgraf and Katherine McNamara. (Deadline.com)
TURN (AMC; W: Craig Silverstein; D: Rupert Wyatt) - Heather Lind ("Boardwalk Empire") has booked the female lead on the drama pilot, set in the summer of 1778 and tells the story of New York farmer, Abe Woodhull (Jamie Bell), who bands together with a group of childhood friends to form The Culper Ring, an unlikely group of spies who turn the tide in America's fight for independence. She'll play Anna Strong, "the beautiful wife of the local tavern owner who is Abe's first love." Burn Gorman, Daniel Henshall, Meegan Warner and Seth Numrich also star. (Deadline.com)
UNAUTHORIZED GREG GARCIA PILOT, THE (CBS/CTS; W: Greg Garcia; D: James Burrows) - Michael Rapaport ("The Mob Doctor") is the latest addition to the comedy pilot, about Jack (Will Arnett), a recently divorced TV reporter whose life is complicated when his parents (Margo Martindale, Beau Bridges) have marital problems of their own. He's set as Jack's brother-in-law Adam, who's married to his sister Debbie (Mary Elizabeth Ellis). J.B. Smoove also stars. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED JH WYMAN PROJECT (FOX) (FOX/Warner Bros.; W: J.H. Wyman; D: Brad Anderson) - Minka Kelly ("Friday Night Lights") is the latest to board the pilot, a drama set in 2048 Los Angeles where robots are widely used in law enforcement and follows human detective John Kennex (yet to be cast) and his android partner Dorian (Michael Ealy). She'll play Valerie Stahl, "a uniformed cop with a strong moral compass who believes the best of people." Also starring are Lili Taylor, Mackenzie Crook and Michael Irby. (Deadline.com)
