HGTV'S ALL-PREMIERE NEW YEAR'S DAY LINEUP FEATURES LIVE COMMERCIAL-FREE BROADCAST OF THE 2013 ROSE PARADE
Outrageous Rooms, Celebrity RVs and Exotic Home Tours Round Out Full Day of Premieres
New York, N.Y. [IMMEDIATE RELEASE - December 7, 2012] HGTV kicks off the New Year in style, by rolling out an all-day lineup of wondrous premieres to accompany its annual live and commercial-free coverage of the 124th Tournament of Roses Parade(R). From 8 a.m. to midnight ET/PT on Tuesday, January 1, HGTV will premiere 13 new specials that offer a glimpse of America's most astonishing spaces, including Outrageous Kitchens, Outrageous Bathrooms, Extreme Homes, Amazing Water Homes and Celebrity Motor Homes. At 11 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. PT, viewers will enjoy a front row seat for the 2013 Rose Parade as HGTV hosts Chuck Nice (Home Strange Home), Chris Lambton (Going Yard), Matt Blashaw (Professional Grade) join television personality Robb Weller to offer commentary on this year's festivities. The excitement continues after the parade with new episodes of fan favorites Love It or List It (8 p.m. ET/PT) and Property Virgins (9 p.m. ET/PT), as well as a sneak peek of HGTV's new series Hawaii Life at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT.
"New Year's Day is all about relaxation and marvelous entertainment," said Kathleen Finch, general manager of HGTV. "We continue to be inspired by the fantasy of the Rose Parade and want to amuse our audiences with a full day of dazzling programming."
HGTV will again host its own float in the parade. The float will feature an appearance by HGTV's Monica Pedersen and a miniature replica of the 2013 HGTV Dream Home alongside home styles from around the world - including a log cabin, an adobe, a castle and an igloo inhabited by the parade's first-ever penguins. After the parade, viewers can get their first look at the home, located in Kiawah Island, South Carolina, during the premiere of HGTV Dream Home 2013 at 7 p.m. ET/PT.
