Animated Series Picked Up for 8 Episodes and Slated to Premiere Fall 2013

NEW YORK, October 18, 2012 - COMEDY CENTRAL has ordered "Triptank," a weekly, half-hour series showcasing a wide range of fast-paced, hard-hitting animated shorts delivered in a variety of animation styles, it was announced today by Kent Alterman, Head of Original Programming and Production, COMEDY CENTRAL. Executive produced by ShadowMachine's Alex Bulkley and Corey Campodonico ("Robot Chicken," "Moral Orel"), "Triptank" is slated to premiere eight episodes next fall.

"When we did the pilot, they assured me it would be literally animated...and it was," said Alterman. "We will do the same for the series."

"Triptank is the ultimate playground for comedy writers and animators," said Bulkley and Campodonico. "We're thrilled to be working with the great team at Comedy Central."

"Triptank" is an anthology of animated comedy shorts created by a varied list of creators, ranging from new voices to established comedic talent. Bulkley and Campodonico will utilize a broad range of formats including 2D, stop-motion and CGI to showcase some of the best and brightest in the comedy community. Creative talent in the pilot included Bob Odenkirk, Larry David, Zach Galafianakis, Kumail Nanjiani, Brett Gelman and Kyle Kinane. The series will weave together stand-alone shorts as well as recurring narrative pieces. Monika Zielinska is the Executive in Charge of Production for COMEDY CENTRAL.
