BLACK EYED PEAS SUPERSTAR FERGIE OPENS UP TO OPRAH WINFREY ABOUT HER LIFE BEYOND THE STAGE AND OVERCOMING OBSTACLES ON "OPRAH'S NEXT CHAPTER" SUNDAY, OCT. 21

Los Angeles - Oprah Winfrey visits Black Eyed Peas singer and multi-platinum solo artist Fergie at her father's vineyard in California wine country on "Oprah's Next Chapter" airing this Sunday, October 21 (9-10 p.m. ET/PT) on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. In an exclusive interview Fergie talks about her life beyond the stage, and isjoined by her family and husband, actor Josh Duhamel, as they candidly address how the tabloid stories of Duhamel's alleged infidelity affected their family.

Fergie shares with Winfrey about everything from performing since the age of seven to overcoming a crystal meth addiction and her sexuality. Fergie also discusses her complicated relationship with will.i.am, what it's like to be the only girl in the Black Eyed Peas and reveals which band mate she once kissed. Then, for the first time together, Fergie and her husband Duhamel talk about their nine-year relationship, their hopes of starting a family, how the tabloid stories of Duhamel allegedly cheating with a stripper affected their marriage.

Excerpt: Fergie talks about her complicated work relationship with will.i.am

OPRAH: You co-wrote a song called The Situation about your relationship with will.i.am, is that right?

FERGIE: Yes. Yes.

OPRAH: Was that -- were you all going through a thing?

FERGIE: Yeah, that song, it was about the yin and yang of our working relationship. He's my work husband.

OPRAH: He's your work husband, okay.

FERGIE: So, yeah, we go through stuff. It's not always saccharin filled.

OPRAH: Good. Who wants saccharin?

FERGIE: I mean, sometimes creatively we disagree and I'm a strong woman and I'm going to say so.

Excerpt: Oprah asks Fergie's husband Josh Duhamel how the girl he curls up

OPRAH: Okay, I have a question for you. How's the Fergie you curl up with at nightdifferent than the Fergie that the world sees?

JOSH: Obviously I love to watch her perform and I love all the music and I was attracted to her initially because of...

OPRAH: All that hot stuff.

JOSH: How sexy she was and the hotness. But we haven't been together for nine years because of that. It's because she's, you know //she's just we grew up in very similar ways, you know? My mother was a teacher. Both of her parents were teachers. //we both had to work for what we got. We're both Catholic. There were a lot of things that were really compatible between us. But at the end of the day, she's just an amazing girl.
