CAROLYN MANNO SIGNS NEW MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH NBC SPORTS GROUP

Comcast SportsNet New England Anchor/Reporter Promoted to Fill a Number of Roles at NBC and NBC Sports Network

October 3, 2012 - Carolyn Manno, who joined the NBCUniversal family in August of 2009 as an anchor/reporter for Comcast SportsNet New England, and made her Olympic debut at the 2012 Olympic Summer Games in London as a sports desk anchor and reporter, has signed a multi-year agreement with NBC Sports Group, it was announced today by Sam Flood, executive producer, NBC Sports and NBC Sports Network.

As part of her new agreement, Manno serves as a reporter on NBC's acclaimed NFL studio show, Football Night in America, as well as on NBC and NBC Sports Group coverage of college football and basketball. Additionally, she will be a host on NBC Sports Group's MLS coverage, and SportsDesk updates, and will serve as a correspondent for NBC Sports Group's action sports coverage, including the Dew Tour. Manno will also have a role in the new NBC Sports Radio Network as well as a role with NBC's coverage of the 2014 Sochi Olympic Winter Games.

"Carolyn is one of the up-and-coming broadcasters on television and did a terrific job as part of the broadcast team from London. We are excited to expand her role within the NBC Sports Group family," said Flood. "Carolyn's promotion recognizes the strength of the talent and sports news coverage that we have at our regional sports networks."

Manno (@carolynmanno) has worked as an anchor/reporter for Comcast SportsNet New England and as a contributor to csnne.com. While in Boston, Carolyn played a major role in the network's nightly news coverage of all New England sports, including coverage of Super Bowl, Stanley Cup, and NBA Finals appearances by the New England Patriots, Boston Bruins and Celtics.

Prior to joining the NBC family, Manno, a Florida native and graduate of University of Florida, previously spent three years in South Bend, Ind., where she covered the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Chicago Bears, Cubs and White Sox, Indianapolis Colts and the Indy 500. While there, she earned multiple first place awards from the Associated Press, an Edward R. Murrow Award for Sports Journalism and an Indiana Spectrum Award for journalistic excellence.
