ABC News was recognized Monday night with seven News and Documentary Emmy Awards for reporting that aired across several broadcasts and platforms, including "Nightline," which was recognized in five categories, "20/20," "World News with Diane Sawyer" and "Good Morning America. The following reports were honored by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS):

Outstanding Coverage of a Breaking News Story in a Regularly Scheduled Newscast ABC News Special Events / Nightline - Gadhafi Speaks Getting into Libya, a tumultuous country in the middle of a full-fledged civil war, proved to be a challenging task for ABC News' Christiane Amanpour and her producers. Once inside the country, they traveled through a nation on the brink to interview Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, the Libyan dictator who ruled Libya with flamboyance and fear, the man behind one of the most infamous terror attacks on U.S. citizens. Amanpour was the only American reporter to sit with Gaddafi, a man who had been in power for 41 1/2 years. He walked right in through the front doors to greet her, wanting people to know that he was still in Tripoli. He refused to acknowledge Libyan protesters and laughed at demands that he step down, even as anti-government forces raged across his country. Executive Producers: Jon Banner, Marc Burstein, Jeanmarie Condon Senior Producers: Tom Nagorski, Felicia Biberica, Nancy Gabriner, Ricki Goldberg, Almin Karamehmedovic, David Reiter Producers: Susan Archer, Steven Baker, Ursula Fahy, Katie Hinman, Bartley Price, Robyn Weil Anchor: Diane Sawyer Correspondent: Christiane Amanpour

Outstanding Continuing Coverage of a News Story in a Regularly Scheduled Newscast ABC World News with Diane Sawyer / Nightline - Crisis in Libya From a harrowing trip alongside Libyan rebels from Benghazi toward Tripoli to exclusive interviews with Colonel Gaddafi's two sons and an exclusive meeting with the Libyan dictator himself, ABC News deftly reported and analyzed the ongoing crisis in Libya through to Gaddafi's chaotic and gruesome death. Executive Producers: Jon Banner, Jeanmarie Condon Senior Producers: Tom Johnson, Almin Karamehmedovic, Nils Kongshaug, Pete Austin Producers: Steven Baker, Ursula Fahy, Katie Hinman, Matt Hosford, Diane Mendez, Bartley Price, Audrey Taylor, James Wang, Angus Hines, Matthew McGarry, Bruno Roeber, Eric Johnson, Roxanna Sherwood, Karson Yiu, Alice Maggin Correspondents: Christiane Amanpour, Lama Hasan

Outstanding Feature Story in a Regularly Scheduled Newscast ABC News Nightline - American Valor: The Land of the Brave For most of 2011, Mike Boettcher was the only network reporter permanently based in Afghanistan. His mission: to follow the 101st Airborne -- the legendary "Band of Brothers" -- throughout their deployment in the deadly Kunar Province in eastern Afghanistan. Embedding again and again with the 101st Airborne's "No Slack Battalion," Boettcher captured the routine patrols, the sudden ambushes, the unguarded moments of fighters struggling to cope with the enormity of the tasks before them and the costs at stake. Then, acting as his own cameraman, Boettcher witnessed first-hand what should have been a three-day mission devolve into a fierce and deadly nine-day fight because of merciless terrain, bad weather and an unexpectedly resolute enemy. Just weeks away from the end of their deployment, six soldiers gave their lives and would not be going home. Executive Producer: Jeanmarie Condon Senior Producer: Almin Karamehmedovic, Tom Nagorski Producers: Carlos Boettcher, Ely Brown Correspondent: Mike Boettcher

Outstanding Business and Economic Reporting in a Regularly Scheduled Newscast Good Morning America, World News with Diane Sawyer & Nightline - The Center for Public Integrity and ABC News Brian Ross Investigates: Green Energy: Contracts, Connections and the Collapse of Solyndra Beginning in March, ABC's Matthew Mosk and Brian Ross and the Center for Public Integrity's Ronnie Greene exposed flaws in the Department of Energy's billion-dollar spending spree, revealed deep links between Obama campaign bundlers and energy contracts, and foreshadowed the financial and political storm that later engulfed solar panel maker Solyndra. The reporting for Green Energy: Contracts, Connections and the Collapse of Solyndra broke ground before Solyndra's meltdown, and went well beyond one company in revealing a web of connections entangling a department lauded for its innovation. Chief Investigative Correspondent: Brian Ross Chief Investigative Producer: Rhonda Schwartz Executive Producers: Jon Banner, Jeanmarie Condon, James Goldston Producers: Matthew Mosk, Ronnie Greene Digital Managing Editor: Mark Schone Digital Producer: Lee Ferran

Outstanding Investigative Journalism in a News Magazine ABC News 20/20 - Brian Ross Investigates: Peace Corps - A Trust Betrayed On the 50th anniversary of the Peace Corps' founding, a 10-month ABC News investigation into the murder of young volunteer Kate Puzey in Africa uncovered a shocking, systemic failure to protect Peace Corps volunteers who were victims of sexual assault, or whistleblowers who tried to report it. The three-part report that aired on 20/20 led to historic change, including a new law to protect Peace Corps volunteers signed by President Obama in November, 2011. Chief Investigative Reporter: Brian Ross Chief Investigative Producer: Rhonda Schwartz Executive Producer: David Sloan Producer: Anna Schecter Field Producer: Angela Hill Digital Managing Editor: Mark Schone
