CBS SPORTS NETWORK TO SHOWCASE LIVE NBA DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE GAMES FOR 2012-13 SEASON
CBS Sports Network has added to its programming lineup with live action of the NBA Development League, the NBA's official minor league, for the 2012-13 season. The Network's coverage will feature 12 live regular-season games, including two from the 2013 NBA D-League Showcase, as well as 2013 NBA D-League Playoffs and Finals action.
CBS Sports Network will also provide exclusive coverage of the "3-Point Shootout" and "Slam Dunk Contest" from the 2013 NBA D-League Showcase. The Network's full broadcast schedule will be released at a later date.
The NBA Development League features 16 teams with direct affiliations to NBA franchises. The league is a proven developer of talent with 27 percent of players in the NBA at the conclusion of the 2011-12 season having NBA D-League experience.
