"JOY BEHAR: SAY ANYTHING" TO PREMIERE ON CURRENT TV ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4 AT 6PM ET

Beverly Hills, CA, July 31, 2012 - Premiering Tuesday, September 4th at 6p ET, Emmy(R) award winning talk show host Joy Behar will make her return to cable on Current TV's new hour-long series "Joy Behar: Say Anything!" The series will air nightly Monday through Thursday at 6pm and will repeat later the same evening.

"Joy Behar: Say Anything" will not only give Behar a forum to say what's on her mind, but it will also encourage her guests to do the same. With her trademark sense of humor and wit, Behar will take on politics, religion, social issues and pop culture. "Joy Behar: Say Anything!" will be signature Joy - unscripted and uncensored.

"When Current TV offered me a show and said I could say anything I wanted to on it, it was a no-brainer," said Behar. "Current is like the g-spot of television - it may be hard to find but once you find it, there's nothing better. On the show, I hope to cut through all of the white noise from other news and analysis shows and encourage talk, and not talking points. There'll be no agenda other than to entertain, inform and make sure my hair always looks great."

"Joy Behar: Say Anything!" will feature contributors and a rotating ensemble of journalists, authors, analysts, comedians, politicos and adversaries. Joy will also interview some of the biggest entertainers, legends and newsmakers for intimate, hilarious and compelling conversations not seen anywhere else on television.

The series will be executive produced by two time Emmy(R) Award winner Robin Hommel, who served as supervising producer of "The Joy Behar Show" on HLN. Prior to that role, Hommel was the co-executive producer of the Harpo/Sony "Nate Berkus Show" and was part of the team that launched "Rachael Ray," "Martha," and "The Jane Pauley Show." Aside from her Emmy(R) wins, Hommel is also a recipient of multiple Prism Awards, a Genesis Award, a GLAAD nomination and is a member of the Producers Guild of America.

"I would not do this show without Robin Hommel," said Behar. "She is a seasoned television producer with killer instincts and I'm delighted we have the opportunity with my new show to work together again."

Behar is an award-winning talk show host, comedian, writer and actress. Since 1997, she has also been a co-host of the long-running "The View" and was host of "The Joy Behar Show" on HLN until late last year.

Behar got her start in show business in the early 1980s as a stand-up comedian. In 1987 she had a talk show on Lifetime Television called "Way Off Broadway." From there she continued to work the comedy club circuit, was a regular on NBC's "Baby Boom," and appeared in films including "Cookie," "This is My Life" and "Manhattan Murder Mystery."

In 1997 Behar became one of the original cast members of Barbara Walters's ABC television creation, "The View." Beginning in 2007, she also occasionally filled in as a guest host on "Larry King Live." On June 11, 2009, Behar announced that she would be hosting her own news and talk program on CNN's HLN beginning in the fall of 2009, titled "The Joy Behar Show." She did not leave "The View," but worked on both shows simultaneously. The final broadcast of the "The Joy Behar Show" was on December 15, 2011.

With the addition of "Joy Behar: Say Anything!" Current is now home to ten hours of live television every day. From its morning block through its primetime lineup, Current offers the best progressive news and analysis anywhere on television.
