By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The latest development news, culled from recent wire reports:

Looking to keep track of all the various projects in development? Click here to visit our signature "Devwatch" section. There visitors can view our listings by network, genre, studio and even development stage (ordered to pilot, cast-contingent, script, etc.). It's updated every day!

COMMUNITY (NBC) - David Guarascio and Moses Port ("Happy Endings") have been tapped as the new showrunners of the much-ballyhooed comedy, which moves to Friday nights at 8:30/7:30c this fall. They'll take over for creator Dan Harmon, who is expected to retain a consulting producer credit. Said duo, who have overall deals with producer Sony Pictures Television, will also fill the void left by executive producers Neil Goldman and Garrett Donovan, who are moving over to FOX's newcomer "Ben & Kate." NBC Entertainment chief Robert Greenblatt first told reporters of the potential change last week (read the story), saying "I think those conversations are happening as we speak. And I guess what I would say is I expect Dan's voice to be a part of the show somehow, I'm just not sure if that exactly means him running it day to day or consulting on it." (Deadline.com)

UNTITLED ALEXANDER CARY/TIM ROTH PROJECT (FX, New!) - "Lie to Me" alums Alexander Cary and Tim Roth are set to team for a potential new drama at the cable channel about "addiction, bank robbery, and an extremely volatile family dynamic." Said hour, from Fox 21, is being developed as a starring vehicle for Roth, who will presumably executive produce alongside writer Cary. (Deadline.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - "Breakout Kings" co-creator Nick Santora has inked a two-year overall deal with CBS Television Studios where he'll join newcomer "Vegas" as a co-executive producer (Deadline.com); and Harold Perrineau has been cast as Damon Pope in "Sons of Anarchy," a principal antagonist in the show's upcoming fifth season (TVLine.com).
