"As a producer, I can't wait. This is a fresh start," Lawrence told Vulture.com. "It will feel like the same show, but we're going to have a new [showunner], there will be new people, new changes." Lawrence later took to Twitter to assure fans they aren't departing the series completely, saying "A.) chill. B.) neither Kev nor I currently have shows, so we will both work on CT, C.) if we do get shizz going, we need great guy in place." (Vulture.com)
I JUST WANT MY PANTS BACK (MTV) - The cable channel has passed on a second season of the scripted comedy. "We're proud to have aired 'I Just Want My Pants Back,' with its impressive creative pedigree and talented group of actors," the network said in a statement. "Many factors go in to determining renewals, however, and ultimately, we decided not to move forward with an additional season of 'Pants.'" It's understood Universal Cable Productions plans to shop the series to other networks. (Deadline.com)
MADE IN JERSEY (CBS) - Press materials released today indicate co-stars Pablo Schreiber and Stephanie March are being dropped as regulars from the Eye's new Friday drama, about a working-class woman (Janet Montgomery) who uses her street smarts to compete with her more polished colleagues at a Manhattan law firm. Schreiber played a senior partner at said firm who still leads with his looks and athletic prowess in the original pilot with March as a fellow high-ranking associate, described as Spence-educated Manhattan royalty. It's not clear if the roles are being recast or written out. (CBS.com)
