Contest Gives Fans A Chance To Win Plane Tickets To A Destination Featured On "Around the World in 80 Plates"

NEW YORK - April 25, 2012 - Beginning today, Bravo Media launches the "Fill A Jet Sweepstakes," a new Facebook app where fans can win round trip tickets to one of the destinations featured on the network's most ambitious new culinary series, "Around the World in 80 Plates." The contest urges fans to create a virtual jet on the show's Facebook fan page to be eligible to win round trip tickets for them and nine friends to either Argentina, China, England, France, Italy, Morocco, Spain, Thailand, the United States or Uruguay. "Around the World in 80 Plates" premieres on Wednesday, May 9 at 10pm ET/PT, the same day the sweepstakes' winners will be announced on the show's Facebook fan page.

"The 'Fill A Jet Sweepstakes' Facebook app is a fun and engaging opportunity for Bravo fans to get another step closer to our shows and content," said Ellen Stone, Senior Vice President, Bravo Media. "By offering a first-hand experience of traveling to the places they'll watch on the series, fans truly get to be part of this incredible culinary race."

Using the "Fill A Jet Sweepstakes" Facebook app on the "Around the World in 80 Plates" fan page (facebook.com/aroundtheworldin80plates), viewers can create up to three virtual jets or join a friend's to enter the contest before Tuesday, May 8. After creating a jet, fans can invite up to 15 friends by sending out invites through Facebook Connect. Once nine friends have joined their jet, players will automatically be entered into the sweepstakes and eligible to win 10 round trip tickets to a destination featured on the show.

Hosted by food experts Curtis Stone and Cat Cora, "Around the World in 80 Plates" takes culinary competition to the next level. Bravo's most ambitious production to date follows 12 chefs competing in a spectacular race over 40 days and across 10 countries, including Argentina, China, England, France, Italy, Morocco, Spain, Thailand, the United States and Uruguay. In each episode, the contestants travel to a different international city to learn the local customs, cultures and cuisines as they battle it out in two different cooking challenges that test their skills and determination. World-renowned restaurateurs and celebrity chefs such as Wolfgang Puck, José Andrés, Nigella Lawson, Narda Lepes and "The Demon Chef" Alvin Leung will serve as Food Ambassadors each week, giving the competing chefs an insight into the local food culture at each destination.
