LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Lifetime's "Love for Sail" and TLC's "Mama's Boys of the Bronx" have both gotten the hook just two weeks into their runs, network sources confirmed this afternoon.
The former opened to a very modest 292,000 viewers on Tuesday, April 10 at 10:00/9:00c, well behind its lead-in "Dance Moms: Miami" (952,000). A second episode on April 17 fared just as badly (297,000), again significantly short of "Miami" (950,000). Lifetime will now shift "Miami" to the later 10:00/9:00c slot effective immediately and continue through May.
Over on TLC, "Mama's Boys of the Bronx" bowed with back-to-back episodes on Monday, April 9 at 10:00/9:00c, averaging 813,000 viewers, on par with its "Undercover Boss: Abroad" lead-in (961,000). The following week the newcomer dipped to 587,000 viewers with "Abroad" posting 727,000 viewers. Additional episodes of "Abroad" will now fill the Monday, 10:00/9:00c slot going forward.
