ABC Family Announces Jean-Luc Bilodeau ("Kyle XY") Has Been Cast as the Unexpected Father in "Baby Daddy"
He'll take over for Cameron Deane Stewart, who starred in the original pilot.

ABC FAMILY ANNOUNCES JEAN-LUC BILODEAU ("KYLE XY") HAS BEEN CAST AS THE UNEXPECTED FATHER IN "BABY DADDY"

BURBANK, CA - March 1, 2012 - ABC Family announces that Jean-Luc Bilodeau, best known for his role as Josh Trager on the network's hit series "Kyle XY," is cast as "Ben" in the upcoming half hour comedy series "Baby Daddy," which is set to premiere this Summer 2012. In addition, Melissa Peterman ("Reba") joins the cast as a series regular, joining previously announced cast including Chelsea Kane ("Jonas," "Dancing with the Stars"), Derek Theler ("90210") and Tahj Mowry ("The Game").

From executive producer Dan Berendsen ("The Nine Lives of Chloe King," "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" and "Hannah Montana: The Movie"), the half-hour series is about Ben (Bilodeau) who, in his 20s, becomes a surprise dad to a baby girl when she's left on his doorstep by an ex-girlfriend. Ben decides to raise the baby with the help of his mother Bonnie (Peterman), his brother Danny (Theler), his best buddy Tucker (Mowry) and his close female friend, Riley (Kane), who is harboring a secret crush on him.

"Baby Daddy," a multi-camera comedy, will begin production this Spring 2012 and will shoot in front of a live studio audience in Los Angeles.
