FISHBOWL WORLDWIDE MEDIA INKS DEAL WITH REVISION3
Revision3 to Serve as a Distribution and Advertising Partner for
FishBowl's CuteWinFail, Hosted by Toby Turner
LOS ANGELES (February 15, 2012) - FishBowl Worldwide Media, a next generation studio founded by entertainment industry veterans Vin Di Bona and Bruce Gersh, today announced a partnership with leading Internet television network, Revision3. Through this collaboration, Revision3 will distribute FishBowl's popular YouTube series CuteWinFail, which is now in its fourth season. The show will be part of Revision3's global online network. In addition, Revision3 will serve as FishBowl's exclusive advertising sales partner for the CuteWinFail channel.
FishBowl has also renewed YouTube sensation Toby Turner to serve as host for the fourth season. CuteWinFail has garnered more than 90 million views, receiving an average of 1.2 million views per episode since it first launched in 2010. The series will further extend its reach on Revision3's global network, which has received 800 million views in the last year.
"With CuteWinFail, which was FishBowl's first digital content initiative, we have successfully built an online brand that has grown exponentially and has continued to engage new viewers with each of its 60-plus episodes," said Bruce Gersh, president and CEO of FishBowl Worldwide Media. "We are very excited to continue to reach new audiences through Revision3's global distribution network."
CuteWinFail leverages FishBowl's massive library of cleared user-generated content to create a weekly show that puts three UGC videos to the test and engages viewers to determine which one is cute, which one wins--and which one is just a big, old, giant fail. The show's interactive nature results in an average of 30,000 votes per show, making it one of the most viewed and engaging comedy shows on YouTube this past year. The dedicated YouTube channel that also includes outtakes, bonus material and clips has more than 230,000 subscribers.
"Revision3's partnership with FishBowl continues to help us expand programming for our global network, as well as bring the incredible CuteWinFail series to new audiences," said Ryan Vance, Vice President of Programming and Production, Revision3. "We look forward to offering our advertising partners engaging and creative ways to connect with audiences through FishBowl's premium quality channel."
