SAG Awards(R) will be Simulcast Live on TNT and TBS on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012
at 8 p.m. (ET) / 5 p.m. (PT)
LOS ANGELES (January 16, 2012) - First time Actor(R) nominees Kyle Chandler, Judy Greer, Maya Rudolph and Octavia Spencer will be presenters at the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards(R), Executive Producer Jeff Margolis announced today.
They join a growing roster of actors who will honor their colleagues at the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards that already includes Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Larry Hagman, Armie Hammer, Ed Helms, SAG President Ken Howard, Regina King, Julianna Margulies, Natalie Portman and Dick Van Dyke.
Kyle Chandler earned his first SAG Award nomination this year for his performance as Coach Eric Taylor on the NBC drama series "Friday Night Lights." He will next be seen in the drama feature "Argo" directed by and starring Ben Affleck, and will also star opposite Mark Wahlberg, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Russell Crowe in the crime drama/thriller "Broken City," currently in production.
Judy Greer is starring opposite George Clooney in "The Descendants" and received her first Actor nomination this year as a member of the cast. Greer will next be seen starring in The Duplass Brothers' "Jeff Who Lives at Home" opposite Ed Helms and Jason Segel, and then in "Playing the Field," opposite Gerard Butler and Jessica Biel.
Maya Rudolph is currently starring in the NBC comedy "Up All Night" as talk show host Ava Alexander, opposite Christina Applegate and Will Arnett. Rudolph earned her first SAG Awards nomination this year as a cast member of the comedy feature "Bridesmaids."
Octavia Spencer is starring as justifiably vengeful maid Minnie Jackson in "The Help," a breakout role for which she has earned her first Actor nomination. Spencer previously starred in "Dinner for Schmucks" opposite Steve Carell and Paul Rudd, and in "Seven Pounds" opposite Will Smith and Rosario Dawson.
The 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards(R), one of the awards season's premier events, will be simulcast live coast-to-coast on TNT and TBS on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at 8 p.m. (ET) / 5 p.m. (PT) from the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles. An encore primetime telecast will begin immediately following on TNT at 10 p.m. (ET) / 7 p.m. (PT). The ceremony will also be telecast internationally.
Preceding the SAG Awards(R) ceremony will be the annual tnt.tv and tbs.com Red Carpet Webcast at 6:00 p.m. (ET) / 3:00 p.m. (PT) featuring the announcement of the SAG Honors for Outstanding Action Performances by Film and Television Stunt Ensembles at 6:15 p.m. (ET) / 3:15 p.m. PT.
