ARROW (The CW, New!) - Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg are set to team for a revised take on the DC Comics-turned-"Smallville" hero Green Arrow, a.k.a. Oliver Queen, a billionaire who dresses like Robin Hood and uses trick arrows to fight crime. Guggenheim and Kreisberg will pen the teleplay off a story by Berlanti and Guggenheim, which "sets him in a new world with an original story that is not based on the comics." The trio then will executive produce the project, which has a pilot commitment, for Berlanti's Warner Bros. Television-based banner. (Deadline.com)
DRACULA (NBC, New!) - Tony Krantz and Colin Callender are developing a period drama at the Peacock and its international channels about Bram Stoker's signature 1890s vampire, billed as "a big, sweeping international soap opera that is young, sexy and supernatural." Cole Haddon is penning the script for the potential straight-to-series commitment. Krantz and Callender then will executive produce via their respective companies, Flame Vantures and Playground Entertainment, for Universal Television and NBCU International Productions. Flame's Reece Pearson will also serve as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - ABC has quietly asked for two additional episodes of "Last Man Standing," bringing its season total to 24 (EW.com); Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein will guest on "The Simpsons" as a "cool" family that moves from Portland to Springfield and becomes the Simpsons' new neighbors (TVLine.com); and Dennis Miller will drop by "Hawaii Five-0" during February sweeps as "a now-retired iconic talk radio DJ who, bored with his life of leisure, starts up a self-financed pirate radio show in Hawaii" (TVLine.com).
