FRED (Nickelodeon) - The cable channel has ordered a third film from the Lucas Cruikshank-led franchise as well as a 20-episode series of 11-minute self-contained episodes. 7.6 million viewers tuned into the original movie (9/18/10) while 5.7 million turned out for its sequel, "Night of the Living Fred" (10/22/11). Production is set to begin shortly on the series for an early 2012 premiere with the third film following later next year. Cruikshank, Varsity Pictures' Brian Robbins and Sharla Sumpter-Bridgett as well as The Collective's Evan Weiss and Gary Binkow are executive producing. (Deadline.com)


TEEN WOLF (MTV) - Michael Hogan, Stephen Lunsford and Daniel Sharman have all joined the cast of the show's second season. Hogan will play Allison's (Crystal Reed) grandfather, Gerard, "a lethal werewolf hunter who attempts to convince her to join the family business." Lunsford then is set as Matt, "a teenager with an eye for photography who will compete with Scott (Tyler Posey) for Allison's affections," with Sharman as Isaac, "a troubled student and member of the lacrosse team who will be given a 'unique gift' by new Alpha, Derek." Dylan O'Brien, Tyler Hoechlin, Holland Roden and Colton Haynes also star in the drama, which began production today in Atlanta. (THR.com)
