AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE (Lifetime) - Matthew MacCaull and Ken Luckey are the latest additions to the drama pilot, about Leila (Melanie Griffith), "a seemingly perfect housewife living the American Dream in an affluent neighborhood married to wealthy up-and-coming politician Stanford (Jeffrey Nordling) with whom she has three grown or almost-grown children." McCaull is on board as "a quirky but brilliant campaign aide for Stanford, on whom Leila's youngest daughter (Kacey Rohl) has a crush" while Luckey is set as the oldest son, "a talented but somewhat unreliable artist and painter who is curious about his mother's odd behavior." David Slade is directing the Fox Television Studios-based hour from a script by Erik Jendresen. (Deadline.com)
THE MUNSTERS (NBC) - Bryan Singer ("House") is in final talks to direct the drama pilot, "an imaginative reinvention of 'The Munsters' as a visually spectacular one-hour drama." Bryan Fuller is behind the Universal Television-based project, which was ordered to pilot earlier this month. Singer will also executive produce alongside Fuller. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED BARBARA HALL PROJECT (Lifetime, New!) - Barbara Hall ("Army Wives") has snagged a script order from the cable channel for a new drama described as a sophisticated look at an anatomy of an affair, with each season revolving around a different couple. Fox Television Studios is behind the hour, which Gary A. Randall of Grand Productions will executive produce alongside Hall. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED JEFF EASTIN PROJECT (USA) - Brandon Jay McLaren ("The Killing") has scored a role on the drama pilot, about "agents from various federal and local agencies (DEA, FBI, LAPD) who live at an undercover house in Southern California." He'll play Dale Jakes, "a quick-tempered U.S. Customs agent living at the house," joining the previously cast Aaron Tveit and Vanessa Ferlito. Fox Television Studios is producing. (Deadline.com)
