AMERICA'S GOT TALENT (NBC) - Piers Morgan has passed on returning for a seventh season of the Peacock's summer franchise. "I'm leaving America's Got Talent," he said during Wednesday's broadcast of his CNN series "Piers Morgan Tonight." "I've been there since the show began six years ago and have loved every second of it but discovered that juggling is a bit more difficult than I thought." Morgan, David Hasselhoff and Brandy Norwood served as the original judges on the series, with Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel taking over in season two and five, respectively. "Got Talent's" season seven auditions began last month.

ANDERSON (Syndication) - Anderson Cooper's new daytime talk show has been renewed for a second season by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. Said development is a result of 2012-13 season clearances on the FOX owned-and-operated stations in Los Angeles, Chicago and Boston as well as those from LIN (Indianapolis, Hartford, Norfolk, Austin, Buffalo, Providence, Dayton, Toledo and Terre Haute), Midwest (San Diego), Meredith (Phoenix, Las Vegas, Flint), Gannett (Jacksonville), Lilly (Erie) and Sun Broadcasting (Fort Myers). Smoove ("Curb Your Enthusiasm") have both landed roles on the upcoming comedy, about Alex (Amanda Peet), "a high-strung single mother who hires a laid-back womanizing construction worker, Pete (David Walton), to remodel her home." Letscher will recur as Ben, "the confident and wry doctor boyfriend of Alex," with Smoove as Clem, "the electrician in Pete's oddball construction crew." Pasha D. Lychnikoff, Bert Belasco and Rick Gonzalez co-starred as the latter group in the original pilot. (TVGuide.com)
