90210 (The CW) - Trevor Donovan is reportedly departing the soap after two seasons. He'll however return for five episodes this fall to give his character a proper send off. "I look back on getting this real-life story line as a blessing," the actor told TVLine.com. "To be able to simultaneously take on a challenging role and bring awareness to a relevant social issue was a win-win for me. I'm looking forward to what opportunities and adventures lie ahead." Co-stars Lori Loughlin and Ryan Eggold likewise won't be returning for season four as previously reported.


COVERT AFFAIRS (USA) - Jaimie Alexander ("Thor") has booked a three-episode arc on the show's second season, which launches tomorrow night on the cable channel. She'll play new tech Reva Kline, "described as an attractive brunette in her thirties, who was the youngest person to ever land a project in the CIA's Directorate of Science & Technology." Also landing a guest role is Peter Stormare as Max Kupala, an officer in the Belarusian Secret Police, in the seventh episode this season.


TEXAS WOMEN (CMT, New!) - The cable channel has ordered eight hour-long episodes of a new reality series which follows four friends who work in the rodeo and country music scene yet devote as much energy to cowboys and partying. The cast includes a competitive barrel racer, a part-time barrel racer, a stock contractor and an aspiring singer/television host, according to the network's description. Said effort launches Thursday, July 14. No auspices were given.


UNTITLED KEVIN SMITH PROJECT (AMC, New!) - Writer/director Kevin Smith is developing a reality series set at his New Jersey comic book store, The Secret Stash. "Have you ever wanted to work in a comic book shop?" reads the casting notice. "Silent Bob himself, Kevin Smith, is casting a new television series set in his comic shop 'The Secret Stash.' He's not looking for actors, he's looking for real people who live and breath the comic book lifestyle. Must be funny outgoing and have a knowledge and passion for comics, superheroes, movie memorabilia and everything that goes with it." Said call adds they're also looking for "people in the Tri-state area with cool, unique, rare, or otherwise awesome comic book/movie memorabilia. It's Pawn Stars for Fanboys, and if you have something to sell/trade/or value, we want you to bring it to us!"
