BRAVO STRIKES A CHORD WITH NEW KARA DIOGUARDI DOCU-SERIES IN DEVELOPMENT

DIOGUARDI SERVES AS HEAD JUDGE IN NEW MUSIC COMPETITION SERIES "PLATINUM HIT" PREMIERING ON MONDAY, MAY 30 AT 10PM ET/PT

NEW YORK - May 26, 2011 - Bravo continues to ramp up their already aggressive development slate with the addition of "KARA" (working title), a new docu-series following multi-platinum selling songwriter Kara DioGuardi. The show builds on the latest announcement that included eight new series in development for the network. DioGuardi can also be seen as the head judge in Bravo's highly-anticipated songwriting competition series, "Platinum Hit," which premieres on Monday, May 30 at 10p.m. ET/PT. "'KARA' is the perfect addition to our latest development slate," stated Eli Lehrer, Vice President of Development for Bravo. "People have one perception of DioGuardi, but this series will peek behind the curtain and reveal much more interesting and multi-faceted aspects of this incredibly successful, talented artist and business woman. We believe her dynamic personality and fascinating career will resonate with our audience and reflect our pop culture brand."

"I am excited to broaden my relationship with Bravo" stated DioGuardi. "I am a fan of the network and appreciate how their programming gives the audience a birdseye view into different industries and really uncovers what makes people tick."

If you think you know Kara DioGuardi, think again. "KARA" is a high energy docu-series set deep inside the music business, as seen through the unique, outrageous and unfiltered life of Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum selling songwriter, mega-producer, music publisher and record executive Kara DioGuardi, as she juggles her busy professional and personal life. The series is produced by World of Wonder and Arthouse Entertainment with Randy Barbato, Fenton Bailey and Tom Campbell serving as executive producers for World of Wonder and Kara DioGuardi and Stephen Finfer serving as executive producers for Arthouse.

"Platinum Hit" will give viewers a front row seat to experience the journey and aspirations of twelve gifted musicians as they battle through innovative songwriting challenges testing their creativity, patience and drive. From dance track to love ballad, every episode will feature a different theme that will require the contestants to write and perform lyrics from multiple genres. DioGuardi will be joined by Jewel who hosts the series as well as gives her feedback as a judge. To find out if they have what it takes, Keith Naftaly, SVP of A&R for RCA/Jive Label Group at Sony Music Entertainment, will be featured throughout the series to help judge the competition and some of the most influential musicians will serve as guest judges including Leona Lewis, Natasha Bedingfield, Donna Summer, Jermaine Dupri, Taio Cruz and Ryan Tedder. In the end, only one is crowned the ultimate hitmaker walking away with a $100,000 cash prize, publishing deal with Sony and BMI Songwriters, The Writing Camp, and a recording deal with RCA/Jive.
