"SHARPAY'S FABULOUS ADVENTURE," A DISNEY CHANNEL ORIGINAL MOVIE, PREMIERES SUNDAY MAY 22 ON DISNEY CHANNEL

Kids', tweens' and families' favorite "High School Musical" drama-queen Sharpay Evans returns to the spotlight in "Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure," premiering SUNDAY MAY 22 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel, with simulcasts on Sprint TV and MobiTV. Led by Ashley Tisdale ("High School Musical" and "Hellcats"), who reprises her unforgettable role as Sharpay Evans, the movie also stars Austin Butler ("Life Unexpected"), Bradley Steven Perry ("Good Luck Charlie") and Cameron Goodman ("The Suite Life of Zack & Cody").

In the movie, Sharpay sets out to conquer Broadway with her Yorkshire Terrier, Boi, after a New York casting director sees their performance at charity gala and offers to arrange an audition for a new Broadway musical. With Boi in tow, Sharpay packs her bags and heads to the Big Apple to fulfill her destiny. Her father has given her one month to make it to center stage, or else she will have to return home and learn the family business. However Sharpay's dreams are turned upside down when she discovers the Broadway role is really for Boi, not her.

Also starring are Alec Mapa ("Ugly Betty") as Gill Samms and Jack Plotnick ("Shake It Up!") as Neal Roberts. Robert Curtis Brown ("High School Musical") and Jessica Tuck ("High School Musical") reprise their roles as Sharpay's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Evans. Special appearance by "High School Musical's" Lucas Grabeel as Sharpay's multi-talented brother, Ryan Evans.

"Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure" was written by Robert Horn (writer of Broadway's "13" and writer/producer of "Designing Women"), directed by Michael Lembeck, executive-produced by Bill Borden and Barry Rosenbush (both of Disney's High School Musical franchise) and Ashley Tisdale (Disney's High School Musical franchise and "Hellcats") and choreographed by Michelle Johnston ("Chicago"). "Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure" was filmed on location in Toronto, Canada, and is a production of Borden Rosenbush Entertainment Production and Princessa Productions Ltd. Parental guideline is TV-G

The movie is also available from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment on Blu-ray(TM) and DVD. "Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure" is the No. 2 family live-action direct-to-video title of 2011 year-to-date, behind No. 1 "Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2."
