"Glee" Executive Producer Dante Di Loreto To Be Honored At Education Through Music's Children Benefit Gala Sunday, May 15th
Dante Di Loreto, executive producer of FOX's Emmy Award-winning television series "Glee," will be honored this year at Education Through Music's Children Benefit Gala.
On Sunday, May 15th, Education Through Music will honor Di Loreto for his accomplishments in advocating for music education. The gala will be held in New York City at the famous Pier 60 at Chelsea Piers.
Di Loreto has played an instrumental role in advancing ETM's mission by fighting to restore music programs to our nation's schools. In its 20th anniversary year, ETM enthusiastically applauds Di Loreto for his artistic accomplishments and social endeavors.
The relationship between ETM and "Glee" began last year. In December, producers and cast members of "Glee," and students from ETM-LA, ETM's affiliate organization in Los Angeles, came together for an amazing day of song and volunteerism at Paramount Studios, hosted by Members Project from American Express and "Glee." The event culminated with American Express and FOX donating $100,000 to Education Through Music, Inc., to further impact children in a positive way.
Founded in 1991 to promote the use of music in the curricula of schools with at-risk populations as a means of enhancing students' academic performance and general development, ETM makes music education a reality for thousands of children who would otherwise have limited or no exposure to the arts. ETM forms long-term partnerships with inner-city elementary and middle schools that lack sufficient resources for school-wide music education. ETM guarantees that every child in its partner schools, including special needs students, receives weekly music instruction throughout the school year.
