Entertainment One Television Concludes Multiple International Deals Leading to MIPTV

Los Angeles/London/Toronto - March 28 - Heading to MIPTV, Entertainment One (eOne) Television's newly expanded sales force secured a slew of multi-territory deals for its ratings-winning and critically-acclaimed programming.

Investigation Discovery in the U.S. has acquired the English television rights on two eOne Television true crime projects THE DEVIL YOU KNOW and PIG FARM, which follows a sale of the successful series VERY BAD MEN. THE PIG FARM is a 90 minute documentary that tells the gruesome story of Canada's most notorious serial killer "Robert "Willie" Pickton, who earned the dubious distinction when the human remains of over 60 women were found on his pig farm. THE DEVIL YOU KNOW offers a rare insight to the criminal mind by exposing the true stories behind men and women who have wreaked havoc on the lives of their victims and their loved ones.

TVNZ, TV Norge, Danish Broadcasting Corporation and RTE in Ireland acquired the free terrestrial television rights for THE WALKING DEAD, the record-breaking series starring Andrew Lincoln. eOne Television also sold the free basic cable rights to the zombie series to FOX International Channels in Norway and concluded a deal with ITC in Iceland for the pay terrestrial TV rights. The critically-acclaimed series was previously sold to Channel 5 in the UK, DBS Satellite in Israel and Orange in France tells the story of the weeks and months that follow a pandemic zombie apocalypse.

ROOKIE BLUE, a cop drama starring Missy Peregrym (Heroes) and Gregory Smith (Everwood) was sold to SBS Networks in the Netherlands, Finland, and Norway; TV4 in Sweden, Addik TV for Canada (cable rights) as well as TVNZ, RTE in Ireland, Danish Broadcasting Corporation and Viasat Broadcasting in Slovenia (free terrestrial TV rights). The series premiere garnered over nine million North American viewers and provided ABC (US) and Canwest Global (Canada) with the best summer scripted opener in more than five years. ROOKIE BLUE follows five young, ambitious cops, fresh out of the Academy, who are plunged into the world of big city policing on their very first day on the job.

Starring Jason Priestley (The Day of the Triffids, Beverly Hills 90210), CALL ME FITZ is a dark comedy about a morally degenerate used car salesman who is forced to go into business with his 'conscience.' eOne sold the free terrestrial TV rights to TVNZ, TV Norge, Cielo in Italy and MTV Networks Europe in Hungary and Poland. Addik TV in Canada picked up the French cable rights whereas Fox in Asia, Greece, Turkey and Portugal, Sky in Italy and Sony Animax in Africa acquired the pay TV rights for the dark comedy.

Television and Radio Broadcasting in Russia picked up the free terrestrial TV, free satellite TV and free (Basic) cable TV rights for the fantasy comedy, TODD AND THE BOOK OF PURE EVIL. The series is about high school students using the power of evil to solve their petty problems.
