RITA WILSON TO GUEST STAR ON "LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT"
New York, NY - March 24, 2011 - Acclaimed actress and producer Rita Wilson will guest star on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," scheduled to air this May.
Wilson will guest star as Bree Mazelon, the protective mother of a teenager under investigation in the episode titled "Delinquent."
"A few years ago, I saw Rita Wilson give a riveting performance playing the mother of child with ADD in the play 'Distracted,' and I knew she'd be a wonderful guest star for SVU. Rita will be playing a mother struggling to care for her seriously disturbed child and we know the episode will be truly memorable," said Executive Producer Neal Baer.
Wilson recently guest-starred on two episodes of CBS's "The Good Wife. Film credits include the Nancy Meyers comedy "It's Complicated" and the upcoming Fox Searchlight film "Homework," which recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Wilson served as an executive producer on the Universal Studios hit film "Mamma Mia!" and was honored with The Producer's Guild of America's Visionary Award for the record-breaking box office hit "My Big Fat Greek Wedding."
"Law & Order: SVU" is a Wolf Films production in association with Universal Media Studios. Dick Wolf, Ted Kotcheff, Neal Baer and Peter Jankowski are executive producers.
