Robyn Hutt Appointed Senior Vice President of Original Programming and Anthony Horn Named Senior Vice President, Current Programming and Specials

truTV Expands Original Programming and Development Group, Opens New Los Angeles Production Office

truTV, which in 2010 scored its best year ever in primetime delivery of several key demographics, is expanding its original programming and development group. The changes include a newly expanded role for Robyn Hutt, who has been named senior vice president of original programming, and Anthony Horn, now senior vice president of current series and specials.

As part of the department's expansion on the production side, executive producer David Dean will head up truTV's brand-new Los Angeles production office. In addition, truTV has expanded New York-based executive producer Angel Annussek's role to include editorial director. truTV has also hired executive producers Mark Anstendig and Mark Powell, who will be based in New York.

Meanwhile, Marissa Ronca, who was named vice president of development for truTV in May 2010, has hired Mathew Baxt as director of development. He will work with development consultant Paul Hardy to help foster new programming for the network.

"truTV is enjoying its best deliveries ever in key demographics as our original programming continues to drive revenue and expand reach," said Darren Campo, senior vice president of programming, production and development. "These important moves reflect truTV's leading position as a network with all original programming."

As senior vice president of original programming, Robyn Hutt will continue to oversee all production and content for the network and manage all original programming, including pilots, series and specials. Hutt joined the network in November 1998. She is based in New York and reports to Campo. "Robyn's management of the production department has been instrumental in evolving truTV's original content, with enormously successful results," Campo said. "Her leadership, creative insight and editorial direction have helped truTV achieve extraordinary ratings."

In his new role as senior vice president of current series and specials, Anthony Horn is responsible for managing truTV's large-scale series productions and special programming events. Horn joined truTV in November 1998. "Tony has produced several of the network's hit series, including Hardcore Pawn, Full Throttle Saloon and Bait Car," Campo said. "His creative abilities and innovative ideas offer great storytelling that continually delivers for the network." Horn is based in New York.

Angel Annussek, who joined truTV in September 2004, has served as an executive producer on such hit series as Operation Repo and Black Gold. Her previous credits include Al Roker Investigates, Parco P.I., Mug Shots and the innovative Hi-8 Showtime special Self Portraits. In her newly expanded role as executive producer and editorial director, she is responsible for enhancing truTV's unique storytelling style for established series, which includes fine-tuning shows to maintain and increase ratings growth from season to season. Annussek is based in New York.

Executive producer David Dean is heading up truTV's new West Coast production office in Los Angeles. Dean has served as a co-executive producer of such truTV projects as Most Shocking, Most Daring, Crisis Point and World's Wildest Vacation Videos. He most recently served as an executive producer on TV Land's Siggy Flicker Project, a co-executive producer of TLC's Tailgate Takedown and Syfy's Who Wants to Be a Superhero?

New York-based truTV executive producer Mark Anstendig comes to the network after serving as supervising producer, series development and production, for VH1. His work for the network included My Antonio, Rap School and the award-winning VH1 Rock Docs. From 1999 to 2002, he served as producer for MSNBC's Headliners & Legends. He began his career with Dateline NBC in Los Angeles.

Executive producer Mark Powell comes to truTV after serving as a supervising producer on CBS's Undercover Boss. His previous credits include executive producer on Discovery's Under New York and Travel Channel's Passport to Great Weekends, as well as producer onABC's Wife Swap. In the United Kingdom,he series directed BBC2's acclaimed Oz and James's Big Wine Adventure. Powell is based in New York.

Mathew Baxt joins truTV as director of development after serving as executive vice president of development for Eyeboogie, Inc. He previously served as consulting producer for American Gladiators, supervising producer of development for Telepictures' Extra and head writer for Access Hollywood. For VH1, he created and executive-produced Cover Wars. He is based in New York and reports to Marissa Ronca.
