NASHVILLE - February 3, 2011 - With Valentine's Day right around the corner, CMT is celebrating love and passion by counting down the 40 GREATEST LOVE SONGS in a two-hour special premiering Saturday, February 12 at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT. The countdown will feature a compilation of soulful ballads, rockin' love tunes and romantic melodies, and will include contemporary music videos, classic performances, and interviews with country's biggest stars, television personalities and relationship experts.
Highlighting classics such as Faith Hill's "Breathe," Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You," and Merle Haggard's "That's The Way Love Goes," the special will incorporate exclusive, brand-new interviews with country superstars Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban and other famous faces as they share why these romantic songs have captivated their hearts. In addition, archival footage featuring unforgettable moments with country superstars and celebrities will be included while counting down to the greatest love song.
