Discovery Communications to Unveil Discovery Fit & Health on February 1, 2011
-- Discovery Fit & Health Will Combine the Best of Discovery Health and FitTV with Dramatic Real-Life Storytelling --

With a programming slate that combines the most compelling real-life stories of Discovery Health with the audience-favorite fitness programming of FitTV, Discovery Communications will rebrand its FitTV network to Discovery Fit & Health on February 1, 2011. Discovery Fit & Health will be available in approximately 50 million homes and found at the channel location currently occupied by FitTV.
Discovery Fit & Health will entertain viewers with gripping, real-life dramas featuring storytelling that chronicles the human experience from the cradle to the grave. Calling on the network's long history of health programming, content will include forensic mysteries, amazing medical stories, emergency room trauma dramas, baby and pregnancy programming, parenting challenges, and stories of extreme life conditions, supercharged with a new slate of premiere series and important specials.

Discovery Fit & Health's robust new slate of programming will continue to feature the best of Discovery Health programming, including the hit franchises DR. G: MEDICAL EXAMINER and I'M PREGNANT AND..., 911: THE BRONX, and UNTOLD STORIES OF THE ER. Early mornings will offer FitTV workout programming, including BODIES IN MOTION with Gilad, NAMASTE YOGA and SHIMMY.
In addition to developing original productions, Discovery Fit & Health will acquire programming from the U.S. and around the world. The network's schedule will feature a number of topical events, including the popular Discovery Health franchises Baby Week, Psych Week, Adventures in Parenting, and New Year, New You.
