GSN AND DREW CAREY ANNOUNCE CAST MEMBERS FOR "DREW CAREY'S IMPROV-A-GANZA" PREMIERING MARCH 28, 2011
The All-New Lineup of Stars Includes Ryan Stiles, Colin Mochrie and Kathy Kinney
(Santa Monica, CA) - January 10, 2011 - GSN (Game Show Network) and Drew Carey introduced today the line-up of talented actors and comedians who will join Carey in DREW CAREY'S IMPROV-A-GANZA, his new original, primetime daily strip show for GSN. Carey and his fellow cast members will create a lively, unpredictable and hilarious half-hour of improvised sketch comedy, complete with audience participation. DREW CAREY'S IMPROV-A-GANZA will premiere March 28, 2011 on GSN.
DREW CAREY'S IMPROV-A-GANZA will be based on a series of live improv performances and audience members will also have a chance to appear in this original, primetime GSN television series. The shows will be taped live in front of audiences at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas January 14-16, January 20-22 and February 3-5 at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Additionalperformances will be taped at 9 p.m. on Thursday, January 13th and Sunday, February 6th.. Carey's fellow cast members will include:
Heather Anne Campbell - The talented improv artist has performed with troupes in Chicago, Los Angeles and Amsterdam, appeared on MADtv, and pranked with ImprovEverywhere in the YouTube hit, "Food Court Musical."
Jeff Davis - Davis started acting at age 4 (as Linus in "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown") and appeared on Broadway at age 11 with Yul Brynner in "The King and I." He's had several recurring roles on Drew Carey's TV shows, and is a member of Carey's Improv All-Stars.
Chip Esten - The improv artist and actor trained at the Groundlings Theatre in Los Angeles and has appeared on "Big Love," "The Office," "ER," "Married�With Children" (he married Kelly Bundy in the final episode), and "The Drew Carey Show."
Kathy Kinney - Well known to audiences as Mimi Bobeck-Carey on "The Drew Carey Show," Kinney has also appeared in "The Secret Life of the American Teenager," "My Name Is Earl," and "Newhart."
Jonathan Mangum - Mangum began doing improvisational comedy with Wayne Brady in Orlando, Florida, before moving to L.A. He has appeared on "The Sarah Silverman Program" and "The Drew Carey Show," and has toured the world with Carey and Brady.
Sean Masterson - Masterson is a multi-faceted improv comedian, web producer and actor. As a performer, he was part of The Second City troupe in Chicago, and has appeared in dozens of episodic TV shows and feature films.
Colin Mochrie - Born in Scotland, Mochrie has worked frequently with Drew Carey and fellow cast member Brad Sherwood. But he says his most famous role was as Molly Ringwald's captor in "Space Hunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone."
Greg Proops - Trained in improvisation and acting in San Francisco, Proops has performed for Prince Charles, and worked as a voice actor in "Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace."
Brad Sherwood - The comedian, actor and game show host ("The Price Is Right") appeared often on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," and has demonstrated his quick-witted improv skills in shows nationwide with colleague Colin Mochrie.
Ryan Stiles - Having dropped out of high school to pursue a comedy career, Stiles has appeared in such comedy hits as "Two and a Half Men," "The Drew Carey Show," "Mad About You" and "Murphy Brown." A longtime performer on the British version of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?," Stiles served as executive producer and co-star with Drew Carey on the U.S. version.
Stand-up comic turned actor-producer Drew Carey has brought his golden comic touch to numerous hit television shows, including "The Drew Carey Show," "The Price Is Right" and "Whose Line Is It Anyway?," on which he served as host and producer. He has also attracted enthusiastic live audiences across the country with his Drew Carey's Improv All-Stars.
