Twentieth Television Sells Multiple Emmy-Award Winning Hit Series "Modern Family" to 50% of Country
Television's #1 Sitcom Among Adults 18-49 to Make Broadcast Syndication Debut in Fall 2013
NEW YORK, Jan. 5, 2011 - Twentieth Television announced today that Twentieth Century Fox Television's multiple Emmy-Award winning series "Modern Family" has been sold in a total of 33 markets, increasing its clearances to 50% of the country. Television's #1 sitcom among Adults 18-49, "Modern Family" will premiere in broadcast syndication in 2013 in top 10 markets including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington DC, and Houston.
In regards to the announcement, Paul Franklin, EVP of Twentieth Television stated: "The incredible enthusiasm for 'Modern Family' demonstrated by viewers and the local station groups continues to flourish. We look forward in building upon this momentum and selling this award-winning program through NATPE and into the New Year."

"Modern Family" stars Ed O'Neill as Jay, Julie Bowen as Claire, Ty Burrell as Phil, Sof�a Vergara as Gloria, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Mitchell, Eric Stonestreet as Cameron, Sarah Hyland as Haley, Nolan Gould as Luke, Ariel Winter as Alex and Rico Rodriguez as Manny.
ABC's highest rated comedy in a decade, "Modern Family" completed its groundbreaking freshman season as the highest rated half-hour new comedy on any network dating back three years. "Modern Family" has won six Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series. It also brought home a Golden Globe, Peabody, Screen Actor's Guild, Director's Guild, Writer's Guild, Television Critics Association, and People's Choice award.
The series is produced by Twentieth Century Fox Television in association with Levitan Lloyd Productions. Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd are executive producers/creators. The pilot was directed by Jason Winer, who also serves as co-executive producer on the series.
