SHOWTIME(R) RESTOCKS "THE GREEN ROOM"

Ray Romano, Kathy Griffin, Judd Apatow, Margaret Cho & More Sign On To Season 2 Of "THE GREEN ROOM WITH PAUL PROVENZA"

Production Begins In January 2011

LOS ANGELES, CA - (December 15, 2010) - SHOWTIME has just ordered up a second season of the critically acclaimed comedy series THE GREEN ROOM WITH PAUL PROVENZA. The nation's top comics, including Ray Romano, Kathy Griffin, Margaret Cho, Tommy Chong, Lewis Black, Ron White, Joe Rogan, as well as blockbuster comedy writer/director/producer Judd Apatow ("The 40-Year-Old Virgin," "Superbad") have all signed on for the six-episode second season, which will be filmed in January and premiere on the network later in the year.

The series offers viewers a rare, fly-on-the-wall look at comic legends, raw and uncensored in a spontaneous, intimate, roundtable setting with comedian Paul Provenza (director and co-producer of "The Aristocrats") serving as moderator and executive producer. Season one, which the New York Daily News gave 4 stars and the Minneapolis Star Tribune called "...one of the funniest, most fascinating forums of the summer...," featured a diverse roster of legendary comedians -- from Jonathan Winters to Eddie Izzard to Roseanne Barr, among others.

THE GREEN ROOM WITH PAUL PROVENZA is executive produced by Paul Provenza and Barbara Romen and this year they are joined by Kelly Carlin, the daughter of famed stand-up comedian George Carlin, who serves as producer.
