truTV Launches Exciting New Mobile App Incorporating Innovative 3D Video Technology
truTV, one of cable's fastest growing networks, has just launched an exciting new app incorporating innovative 3D video technology. The app is available starting today for such mobile platforms as the Apple iPhone, the Apple iPad and the Android. It features access to an ever-expanding collection of action-packed and outrageously funny truTV video clips, many of which have been converted to a 3D experience through dynamic image-encoding technology. The new truTV app is available to download free from the Apple Store and Android Market app stores.
Through the truTV app, fans can check out the latest video clips from such popular truTV series as Hardcore Pawn, The Smoking Gun Presents: World's Dumbest..., All Worked Up, It Only Hurts When I Laugh and many more. The network is re-encoding select videos with a 3D stereoscopic filter. The resulting 3D video can then be watched with anaglyph red/cyan glasses, bringing an exciting element to the viewing experience. For fans who don't have a pair of 3D glasses, the truTV app will be packed with a large and steady supply of videos with the original encoding.
