LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- FOX wants viewers to spend the holidays with its various animated families as "The Cleveland Show" and "Family Guy" will each be the focus of one-hour holiday specials on Sunday, December 5 and Sunday, December 12, respectively.
In addition, "The Simpsons Movie" will make its broadcast premiere this Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 25 at 8:00/7:00c, on the network.
All of the aforementioned moves were confirmed to the site exclusively this morning.
The one-hour installments of "Cleveland" and "Family Guy" will each air at 8:30/7:30c on said nights, bookended by new episodes of "The Simpsons" and "American Dad" with each pre-empting the other that particular week (no "Family Guy" on December 5, no "Cleveland" on December 12).
Other holiday stunts include the previously announced "TV's Greatest Holiday Moments" special on Friday, November 26 as well as the films "Click" (Saturday, November 27), "Are We Done Yet?" (Saturday, December 25) and "Rocky Balboa" (Saturday, January 1).
