By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The latest development news, culled from recent wire reports:

Looking to keep track of all the various projects in development? Click here to visit our signature "Devwatch" section. There visitors can view our listings by network, genre, studio and even development stage (ordered to pilot, cast-contingent, script, etc.). It's updated every day!

ALL SIGNS OF DEATH (HBO) - Mercedes Masohn, Ron Yuan, Jeremy Ray Valdez, Mahershalalhashbaz Ali and Kelsey Ford have all joined the cast of the drama pilot, about Webster Filmore Goodhue (Ben Whishaw), "an inveterate twenty-something slacker who stumbles into a career as a crime scene cleaner, only to find himself entangled with a murder mystery, a femme fatale and the loose ends of his own past." Masohn will play Soledad Nye, "a beautiful young Latina femme fatale who drags Web into a triple bucket of trouble." Details on the other actors' characters weren't given. Alan Ball is helming the project off a script by Charlie Huston, based on his novel "The Mystic Arts of Erasing All Signs of Death."

BROTHERS & SISTERS (ABC) - Jeremy Davidson ("Army Wives") has booked a role on the show's upcoming season. He'll play Kitty's (Calista Flockhart) first significant love interest since the death of her husband Robert (Rob Lowe), whom she meets at Ojai where she's been holed up during her year of transition. Said arc begins in late October/early November.

MI-5 (ABC, New!) - The Alphabet and sibling ABC Studios are developing a domestic take on the British spy drama, about "the work of a group of MI5 officers based at the service's Thames House headquarters in highly secure offices known as The Grid." Michael Seitzman is penning the adaptation outside his overall deal with the studio. No details however were given about the U.S. incarnation, which will be co-produced by Kudos Film and Television. A&E aired the series here in the States, followed by BBC America and PBS in recent years.

VIGILANTE PRIEST (Starz, New!) - Neal McDonough is developing a new drama at the pay channel about "an ex-cop turned priest who is cleaning up the streets of Los Angeles 'one sinner at a time.'" Walon Green is penning the script to the project, to star McDonough, and will executive produce alongside the actor and John Avnet, who's attached to direct.
