LUCK (HBO) - The pay channel has ordered the much-ballyhooed drama, set in the world of horse racing, to series. Dustin Hoffman and Dennis Farina topline the project, which also stars Ian Hart, Jason Gedrick, Jill Hennessey, John Ortiz, Kerry Condon, Kevin Dunn, Nick Nolte, Richard Kind, Ritchie Coster and Tom Payne. David Milch created the hour, which was directed by fellow executive producer Michael Mann. Carolyn Strauss likewise serves as an executive producer with Hoffman and Henry Bronchtein as co-executive producers. No specific episode order was given. Production is set to begin this fall at Santa Anita Park, where the pilot was shot.
WHITE COLLAR (USA) - Jeff Eastin, the show's creator, has inked an overall deal with producer Fox Television Studios, one of only two currently at the studio (the other being "Burn Notice's" Matt Nix). The pact will keep the writer/producer at the helm of the franchise for the foreseeable future, where he'll also develop new series projects.
