Another Dang Season of Squidbillies Debuts on Adult Swim
New Episodes Air Sunday Nights at Midnight Beginning May 16
The inbred squid-things of Dougal County return for a fourth or fifth season, depending on how you slice it, of hillbilly shenanigans in new episodes of Squidbillies on Adult Swim beginning Sunday, May 16, at midnight (ET, PT). The squids won't disappointify you, as long as you like bank robbing, drug trafficking, unskinny bopping, and guest appearances by bona-fide music and sports stars, including Widespread Panic, Drive-By Truckers, and Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver and graceful dancer Chad Ochocinco. Creators Dave Willis and Jim Fortier pulled out their rolodex to create the ten red-neck-iest episodes yet for one of Adult Swim's longest-running original series.
In this season of Squidbillies, the Cuylers continue to stir up all kinds of ball bustin' trouble and display reckless behavior. Early turns to polygamy and decides to remain faithful to all 97 of his new wives. Meanwhile, the discovery of Lil's secret drug operation brings Widespread Panic to Dougal County. The season wraps with a special 30-minute all-star musical featuring Drive-By Truckers, Lucinda Williams, and Bonnie "Prince" Billy to name a few.
Squidbillies premiered on Adult Swim in October 2006 and is from creators Dave Willis and Jim Fortier, both Georgia natives. Willis and Fortier worked as writers and producers on Space Ghost Coast to Coast. When Adult Swim launched in 2001, Jim Fortier wrote and produced for The Brak Show, and Dave Willis co-created Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
