BRAVO'S "THE MILLIONAIRE MATCHMAKER" PICKED UP FOR SEASON FOUR AND MOVES TO THE BIG APPLE
NEW YORK, NY - March 15, 2010 - Bravo and Patti Stanger have tied the knot for a fourth season of the hit docu-series "The Millionaire Matchmaker," but this time Stanger will bring her cupid arrows to New York City. As Stanger expands her business to the Big Apple, we'll follow her as she uses her magic to help singles find true love in New York City. In each episode, two wealthy clients will be set up with dates hand-picked by Stanger and her staff based upon their beauty and intelligence.
With her business flourishing, a successful book under her belt, host of her own radio advice show, Stanger topped the year with the news of her engagement to longtime love Andy Friedman. Between planning her own wedding, running her business and now moving to New York for a season, it's sure to be a wild ride.
Through seven episodes, the show is tracking to be the highest-rated season yet in all key demos, averaging more than 1.2 million total viewers, up 17 percent from last season and 16 percent among adults 18-49. Season 3 of "The Millionaire Matchmaker" continues tomorrow night, Tuesday, March 16 at 10 p.m. ET/PT when Patti goes green with two eco-conscious clients. Douglas Donehoo, a 39 year-old gay millionaire who owns an all-organic sportswear line. While successful in business, Douglas has come up short in the love department due to impossibly high standards. Patti's other client is British import, Nicole Sherwin, a 40-year-old divorcee who now lives in L.A. When Nicole demands the ideal man who doesn't exist, Patti gives the snobby, superior eco-princess the inconvenient truth that at her age, her options are limited, especially in youth-obsessed L.A..
"The Millionaire Matchmaker" follows Stanger and her determined staff as they give their big-bucks clients complete transformations with the help of personal shoppers, date coaches and therapists. An experienced third-generation matchmaker, Stanger founded her company Millionaire's Club in January 2000. Previously, Stanger was the Director of Marketing for Great Expectations, the largest and oldest dating service in the United States. Her bluntness continues to garner her infamy - but no one can deny that Stanger has one of the biggest hearts in the matchmaking field.
