JESSE METCALFE STARS IN 'FAIRFIELD ROAD,' A HALLMARK CHANNEL ORIGINAL MOVIE WHICH HAS BEGUN PRODUCTION IN TORONTO

Will Premiere on Hallmark Channel in 2010

Jesse Metcalfe ("Desperate Housewives") has been cast to star in "Fairfield Road," a Hallmark Channel Original Movie about a Boston-based political strategist on a fast-track career whose life takes a dramatic turn when in 24 hours he loses his current job, his future job and discovers his girlfriend, who he thought was soon to be his fianc, had been cheating on him. He arrives understandably depressed at the small, picture postcard town in Cape Cod where he had planned to propose and finds a place that he loves and a girl that he'll soon love even more.

"Fairfield Road" has begun production in Toronto, Canada, and will premiere on Hallmark Channel in 2010.

Noah McManus (Metcalfe) has it all: He's about to start his dream job as a legislative director for a U.S. Senator, and he's about to propose to his devoted girlfriend. But in one day, Noah's entire world changes when his new boss resigns surrounded by controversy and he realizes that he and his girlfriend are not meant to be together.

Devastated and now alone, except for the company of his dog, Arlo, Noah drives to the Cape Cod town where he had intended to propose. There he finds comfort among the town's peaceful setting and appealing local residents. He also finds himself falling for the bookstore owner and becoming involved in the town's heated local election. It's all alluring to Noah. He's finally found a meaningful purpose for his life and someone to share it with. But what will happen when he gets another high-level job offer and his remorseful ex-girlfriend returns, luring him back to his familiar lifestyle?

"Fairfield Road" is being produced by Cypress Point Productions and QVF Productions. Emmy Award-nominee Gerald W. Abrams ("Nuremberg," "Family of Spies") and Susan Murdoch ("The National Tree") are the executive producers; David Till ("Runaway") is the producer. David Weaver ("Charlie and Me") is directing from a script written by Tracy Rosen ("Daniel's Daughter").
