HEROES (NBC) - "The Riches" alum Todd Stashwick is the latest to land a recurring role on the show's current season. He'll play Eli, someone with ties to Robert Knepper's character. No other specifics were given.
MODERN FAMILY (ABC) - Benjamin Bratt ("The Cleaner") is set to guest star on the freshman comedy as the oft-mentioned but not-yet-seen ex-husband of Sofia Vergara's character. Gloria (Vergara) frequently makes references to both his temper and his physical prowess while son Manny (Rico Rodriguez) idolizes him, unbeknownst to the fact he chose a weekend of gambling over a father-son trip to Disneyland. It's not clear when Bratt's installment will air.
THE QUICKENING (A&E) - Australian actress Radha Mitchell ("Surrogates") has been cast in the lead role of the drama pilot, about "a bi-polar LAPD detective [who] must wrestle with the fact that the medication she has been prescribed makes her 'normal' but her disorder, with all the paranoia and risks it comes with, makes her extraordinary." Jennifer Salt penned the Fox Television Studios-based hour, which has been greenlit for production. Filming is set to begin next month in Los Angeles.
UNTITLED THOMAS LENNON PROJECT (NBC, New!) - "Reno 911!" co-star/co-creator Thomas Lennon is set to topline a new multi-camera comedy project for the Peacock. Lennon will star in, co-write and executive produce the half-hour with his "Reno" partner Robert Ben Garant, who likewise will appear in a supporting role. Details about the project however are being kept under wraps. Universal Media Studios is behind the project, which is the result of a talent holding deal Lennon has inked with the studio. NBC's commitment is said to be a pilot plus a penalty should it not go to series. Peter Principato and Paul Young are also attached as executive producers.
WORTHY (FOX) - Jake Kasdan ("The TV Set") has been tapped to direct the drama pilot, about "an Arizona politician named Worthy who is blackmailed by a mob boss following a hit-and-run accident." He'll work from a script by creator Davey Holmes for 20th Century Fox Television. Holmes and Gavin Polone serve as the project's executive producers.
