TV ONE TO PREMIERE "LIFE AFTER," NEW SERIES EXPLORING TURNING POINTS IN CELEBRITIES' LIVES BEGINNING SUNDAY, SEPT. 13 AT 10 PM ET

-- Those featured to include Bell Biv Devoe, Christopher Reid, Eva Marcille, Al Reynolds, Omarosa, Jaimee Foxworth, Daryl "Chill" Mitchell, and Taimak --

Pasadena, CA -- Beginning Sunday, Sept. 13 at 10 PM ET, TV One will premiere Life After, an all-new series that explores some of America's most intriguing celebrities from the perspective of the turning points that have forever changed their lives, be they public or private, triumphant or tragic. The eight-episode, half-hour series will share with viewers the real, behind-the-scenes stories of the transformative events in these public figures' lives and share their joy and happiness, pain and loss, while also sharing the ways in which they evolved from these experiences to a more fulfilling "life after." The series will repeat that night at 1 AM ET.

Part biography, part confessional and all celebration of the human spirit, each episode of Life After will focus on a well-known person or group and tell the story, including interviews with the celebrities themselves, of a transformative event in their lives and its effects upon them ever afterward.

Those featured in the series will include:

Christopher Reid, once the king of the extreme high-top fad as "Kid" in the famous duo Kid 'n Play, will share the journey he's taken as both a comedian and an actor since he left that notorious twosome.

Hip-hop/R&B trio Bell Biv Devoe will tell the story of their life together after making the break from New Edition.

Eva Marcille will relay the breathtaking tale of glamour and success that followed close on the heels of her becoming the first African American ever to win America's Next Top Model.

Al Reynolds will describe in detail how he re-ignited his career as a business professional after his highly publicized marriage and divorce from Star Jones.

Omarosa will tell how her life changed after her sudden rise to become the most famous contestant on Donald Trump and Mark Burnett's reality series, The Apprentice.

Jaimee Foxworth, whose life took a rocky path after she left the show Family Matters, will reveal how she tragically succumbed to the pressures that consume so many child-stars before getting her life back on track.

Taimak, star of the seminal film, The Last Dragon, will offer poignant insight into the special challenges of becoming a cult hero at a young age.

And perhaps most moving of all, Daryl "Chill" Mitchell, co-star of The John Larroquette Show and Veronica's Closet, will describe how he's overcome the great personal challenges he's faced since being paralyzed in a motorcycle accident in 2001.

"Life After balances joyous moments with painful memories as the show seeks to capture how those featured have both celebrated and enjoyed their fame - and endured their darkest hours," said TV One Senior Vice President of Original Programming Toni Judkins. "Life After investigates the ways in which these landmark moments shaped their lives, allowing them to share intimate revelations from the unpredictable journey of life."

The series is produced for TV One by K2 Pictures.

"We're tremendously excited about Life After," said K2 president Robert Katz, "because it's a truly unique take on the celebrity biography. We're telling stories here through the prism of the most dramatic and intense turning points in people's lives, and that's giving this show a candid perspective that I think viewers are going to find both shocking and incredibly moving."

Executive producers for the series are Robert Katz and Jay Peterson. Director is Erica Forstadt. Executive in charge of production for TV One is Robyn Greene Arrington.
