'GHOST ADVENTURES' PREPARES FOR INAUGURAL, LIVE SEVEN-HOUR INVESTGATION THIS HALLOWEEN SEASON
--The Ghost Adventures Crew Uses Taunting Techniques, New Scientific Equipment, Experts, and
Interactive Resources for LIVE Seven-Hour Investigation. --
(Chevy Chase, MD) This Halloween season, on October 30, 2009 from 8PM to 3AM ET the Ghost
Adventures crew, Zak Bagans, Nick Groff and Aaron Goodwin, will voluntarily lock themselves in one
of America's most haunted locations, the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, for a LIVE seven-hour,
paranormal investigation. During GHOST ADVENTURES LIVE, the crew will examine the reported
hauntings and ghostly activity at this paranormal landmark.
Built during the Civil War, the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in West Virginia is the second largest
hand cut stone buildings in the world. For decades, its massive walls housed the insane, the neglected,
and the unwanted. Violence was a common occurrence and inmates were often subjected to brutal
medical procedures. In 1994, the asylum was shut down permanently and the edifice has remained
vacant ever since.
The Ghost Adventures crew will have unprecedented access to the entire asylum, from the seclusion cells
where the most violent patients were shackled, to the medical center where primitive 'ice-pick' lobotomies
were frequently performed. They will interview locals and learn about the history of the surrounding area
before being padlocked inside the facility, unable to escape as they record their experiences. To aid in their
investigations, they will be calling on help from experts in Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP), and
mediums, while using newly invented spirit-detection systems.
This seven-hour live broadcast will be completely interactive. Along with watching the drama unfold live
on television, viewers can go online to www.travelchannel.com/ghostadventures to participate in the
investigation directly. Viewers at home will have complete access to the investigation as it occurs via fixed
webcams throughout the building and online chats with the team during the lockdown.
They will also be able to send e-mails, text messages, IMs and faxes to Zak, Nick, and Aaron, sharing what
they see and offering advice on what they should do next.

are also available On Demand.
GHOST ADVENTURES regularly airs on Fridays at 9PM. During each episode, paranormal investigators
Zak Bagans, Nick Groff, and Aaron Goodwin attempt to document supernatural activity at haunted
locations both domestic and international. The crew finds out about the area, interviews locals about
hauntings, and gets up close and personal with the spirits reportedly inhabiting these locations. Armed with
night vision cameras, digital recording equipment and unique provoking techniques, the crew readies
themselves for an overnight investigation. While being locked down from dusk 'til dawn the Ghost
Adventures crew investigates reported paranormal activity at various locations.
