"JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE" TO AIR PRIMETIME SPECIALS STARTING JUNE 4 AT 8:00 P.M., ET ON ABC
"Jimmy Kimmel Live" will air special half-hour primetime shows on each night ABC airs the basketball finals, beginning Thursday, June 4. During last year's primetime specials, host Jimmy Kimmel welcomed notable guests including then-Senator Barack Obama, Senator John McCain, David Beckham, Adam Sandler, Edward Norton, Charles Barkley, Eminem, Shaquille O'Neal, Magic Johnson, Liv Tyler and New Orleans Hornets guard and 2008 MVP contender Chris Paul.
Airing around the basketball finals in various time periods across the country last year (with 94-98% U.S. Coverage), the six "Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night" specials delivered broad exposure for the ABC late-night talker in primetime. On average, the "JKL Game Night" specials were up by 76% in Total Viewers (3.0 million vs. 1.7 million) and by 67% in Adults 18-49 (1.0/3 vs. 0.6/3) over the show's 07-08 TV Season average in late-night.
