TLC Announces Renewals for 10 Series

TLC Announces Renewals for 10 Series

(Los Angeles, Ca.) TLC has ordered additional seasons of 10 series, it was announced today by network President and GM Eileen O'Neill. Comprising a mix of long-running shows and newer series, and across a variety of genres, the renewals underscore TLC's commitment to providing the highest quality non-fiction lifestyle programming on television.

"These programs represent some of our strongest performing series and help anchor our schedule of original programming in 2009," said O'Neill. "From big families to decorating drama, our authentic mix of real people and relatable experiences has made TLC a trusted destination for viewers."

The series include (in alphabetical order):

18 KIDS AND COUNTING: Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar love their family�and the bigger the better, in their opinion. The current season finds te Duggar clan expanded at both ends: oldest son Josh is now living nearby with his new bride, and the family welcomed its eighteenth member with the new year. Laundry, cooking, cleaning and parenting take on army-sized proportions in when the third season of 18 KIDS AND COUNTING premieres in July. this heartwarming new season. Series is produced by Advanced Medical Productions.

A Baby Story: the Emmy Award-winning daytime series will premiere its remarkable 12th season in the fall. Representing a cross-section of society, each episode follows the entire remarkable experience of pregnancy, from the early preparation to the delivery room, revealing the emotional and physical aspects of giving birth. Season 11 currently airs daily. Series is produced by True Entertainment.

HOME MADE SIMPLE: Bringing simplicity into the lives of a new family each week, the popular daytime series will premiere is sixth season in fall 2009. Traveling around the country, our handyman, designer, and chef work together with families to devise smart solutions for easy living for the entire family. Series is produced by Discovery Studios.

JON & KATE PLUS 8: the pop-culture phenomenon will return for its 5th season on May 25 at 9 PM ET/PT, continuing to follow the lives of the Gosselin family, including a set of 8 year-old twins and four year-old sextuplets. The fourth season finale delivered JON & KATE PLUS 8's highest rated episode yet. Series is produced by Figure 8 Productions.

LITTLE PEOPLE BIG WORLD: Welcome to the Roloff family: big-dreaming dad Matt, practical mom Amy, both little people, and their four kids, only one of which also has dwarfism. The celebrated series inspires and entertains as they take on life's adventures from their farm in Portland, OR. The fourth season, currently airing, has been the highest-rated to date. Season five will premiere this fall. Series is produced by Gay Rosenthal Productions.

MOVING UP: Hosted by design expert Doug Wilson, MOVING UP will return for its fourth season in August. A blend of the real estate and decorating genres, each episode follows three sets of homeowners as they move in one another's home, renovate and redecorate. Doug is on hand to bring the previous homeowner back to see the changes � will they like what happened to their home after they moved out? Series is produced by BBC Worldwide Productions.

MY FIRST HOME: Entering its fourth season in the fall, each episode this series chronicles one potential homeowner's process as they set out to purchase their first home. From touring the real estate to picking out the perfect house, MY FIRST HOME takes viewers along for the highs and lows of home ownership. Series is produced by Authentic Entertainment.

SAY YES TO THE DRESS: Documenting one of the biggest milestones in wedding planning � picking the perfect gown � the series goes behind the scenes at the famed Kleinfeld Bridal, where their busy staff helps brides-to-be find their dream dress. The current season of the hit series is capturing its biggest audience yet. SAY YES TO THE DRESS will premiere the fourth season in the fall. Series is produced by Half Yard Productions.

TODDLERS & TIARAS: The docu-series goes behind-the-scenes of the child beauty pageant world, profiling a number of young contestants from all different ages and backgrounds, as well as their fanatical parents. WHAT NOT TO WEAR: Perennial favorite WHAT NOT TO WEAR is returning with new episodes starting in May, and will bow its 250th episode during its seventh season.
